This is the best simple time tracking app I've come across. No ads. No paying for "premium features". No BS. I'm a freelance video editor and I've been struggling to find a way to log my work time and I've tried a different app (forget the name of it) and it was confusing and there were features behind a pay wall that should have been available for FREE. This app is great for simple time tracking. You can log breaks, do deductions for taxes, and easily generate spreadsheet reports. 10/10
Reviews for Time Clock: Easy Tracker
← Back to Time Clock: Easy TrackerOverall, a really great and easy app to use. Great way to make sure your hours are correct as well log hours for volunteering. Not a huge fan of the automatic logging as it just logs my time at a location, but because I'm running around a huge University hospital it doesn't quite get it correct and thinks I'm at different places. However, it is very easy to log my hours myself. 10/10 will continue to use and will definitely be buying a subscription!
I originally had trouble saving my time when I punch out on the app. But I figured out that the app will not save my time if I punch out using the notification screen. I have to pull up the app then press punch out. That's no big deal. The reason for my low rating is that I emailed customer support a few weeks ago for help and they never responded. It seems like if you need help with the app, customer service is no where to be found, at least for me. Otherwise, I would have rated higher.
Easy to Learn, Nice Customization, Even the Free version is great! I've been using this App since 2021, originally it was just to track my lunch time so I wouldn't go past the 30min that I was allowed, so I could maximize my pay for each day. It also helped a few times with having a reference point for when a check looked off. It has a small learning curve but it's all very self-explanatory. I have even recommended it to other people as well as it helps just. Cons: no companion watch app.
Used to like using this app to track my time, not the case anymore. When I first started using it, every few days they would ask if I wanted to upgrade my subscription, which I totally get. I'm using your product for free, every few days is acceptable. Now it asks about upgrading every single day. I don't need the upgrade, take a hint. If you go back to occasionally asking I'll gladly change my rating. Until then I think it's time to find a new app to use
Worked well until it suddenly said I couldn't continue use (of the free version) without a subscription. No warning this would happen at install. Have a free version or don't. Don't try to con users into thinking you have a free version, let them rely on your app for work, then cut off usage arbitrarily. I will pay for an app if I use the free version and can see how more benefits would help me. I will not pay for an app that masquerades as free and then demands payment once you've acclimated.
App has been wonderful, the free version is helpful the paid is even better. Only issue I have is when you share a summary of your pay period it deducts the break from the pay but time spent on break is not reflected on the time punches for days in the report. So unless a client looks carefully ( which they seldom do, they don't see the time spent on break listed on the report and they feel like they should deduct the time themselves. Which is never good, other than that it's a great tool!
At first I was so excited about this app - sleek I interface, easy to use, and I love the ability to clock in and out on the fly for easy reporting. After 1 full day of use, I'm getting a pop-up warning about subscribing to continue my use. I didn't read the other reviews noting this. I would pay a one-time fee because I like the app but not willing to pay $3 per month for it. So disappointed!! Uninstalling.
Been using the app for 4 years to track work hours for my own person good. Years ago,bit use to track your location and could show you where you were at what time til what time. Would be all mapped out. As far as I know, it no longer does that and hasn't for atleast 2 years. But other than that, it's helped me keep track of money I earned each week or what I should expect at the end of the week. Can even add in expenses, breaks, and tax rate.
Simple, easy-to-use interface. Works well for punching in my hours and seeing how many I worked in a week. Saves me some time by allowing me to save the same amount of time for my lunch break and apply it to future entries. It could be improved if there were more stats---like charts--to visually compare weeks of work. How about a way of tracking individual tasks, too? For example, as a teacher, what if I could log what hours I spend grading in the day versus teaching or preparing?
it's ok for basic hour log tracking, unless you pay for service, it's very limited features. doesn't figure in taxes or deductions from your pay unless that's in the paid service. kinda annoying with always wanting to track you but if you rely on wifi for service, it will always ask to track you. also entering in client info or updating the entry, it will push for you to subscribe. so it's ok for basic tracking but not much else to encourage me to pay to use it anymore.
I like the app very much for tracking my various part time client jobs. What I don't enjoy are the pop ups for subscribing (yes I know how to "fix" that ;) ) and the fact that I can't seem to delete a job or client when I no longer need to track hours or time for that project, or when I decide to rename a project ... I can't. I have to create a new one so I end up with at least 5-10 so far names I never will use or need again. Overall useful app, thought.
Love it and it reminds me to punch in if I forgot. For everyone saying it's a "paid service" it isn't. When the subscribe pop-up comes up you can just disregard it and keep using the app. Not sure why people don't realize that? You have the option to subscribe for more features or just keep using the free version. Try using the back arrow to get out of the pop-up and you can keep using the app no problems. So far it's been working really well for me.
Worked great until I bought the subscription. It immediately stopped working and will not load the app. Up until then, it worked perfectly. UPDATE: I contacted the developer and they fixed the issue within 24 hours and the app is now working perfectly. It works just as I hoped. It's very simple to use, keep tracks of the hours, calculates pay and generates reports. Thank you so much!
I really like this app, you can set your pay period for a day, a month or any number of days you want. You can adjust the time, it also calculates your pay, even if you clock in at an odd time, which is great, because I suck at math. The autofill is a drawback for me, I'm a cleaner, so my place of business changes daily, I might go back every few weeks to every few months. Other than that, it's an excellent app.
Really neat so far (second day using). I use it mainly to calculate my time down to the minute to record on my physical documents I have to turn in. You can add notes, pictures, and record your break time for each entry. And you can input your hourly rate so it calculates your pay, as well as giving you a place to input whatever percentage of taxes is taken out for a more accurate payout. Extremely handy, I will recommend it if/when given the chance to!
Was a wonderful app and then I must echo the sentiment of others... Suddenly refused to add another entry until I signed up for a paid subscription. Happened in the middle of a work week (which I am sure they do on purpose). No warning, no advertisement of a trial or a free period about to expire, nothing. It is advertised as a free app and I was extremely frustrated by this. I am sure it is in the fine print somewhere, but they are certainly not upfront about it.
Prior to the update, this would have been a 5. I was able to add each of my rates of pay depending on shift diff, weekends, etc, and a 2nd job. It has erased all my payrates. It is no longer user friendly. As of now, I rate this a 1. I have been searching for another app that can keep track of more than one payrate, and one that is not so spread out.
so far so good. I can track my hours and send them in. we'll see how things go and I'll update as I go. Edit: From 3 star to 1 star. I get ads are a thing but the adds in this one are a bit too much. And the banner for some of the adds is nearly on top of other buttons. If you have fat fingers or do a lot of one handed things, you could easily hit the banner for an ad. Also the cost is not worth it. They want WAY too much even at 50% off for a yearly plan. and plans are all there are.
It's a great app and all, I just wish ONE of these time clock apps would add the feature of tracking paid breaks. Where I work, we get 2 15-min paid breaks but if you go over 15 minutes, all minutes over aren't paid. It's very annoying to have to manually track this every time. It's not the end of the world, but I'm disappointed that no app has a feature to track this.
