Been using Toca Hair Salon 3 for a couple months now. It’s basically a super fun hair styling app where you can cut, color, and style all kinds of hairstyles. Pretty solid if you’re into these creative sandbox type games.

Here’s what you do: you get to choose from tons of characters with randomized hair and personalities. Then you can grab all the styling tools – scissors, dye, curlers, you name it – and go to town. There’s also a bunch of different hair types like straight, wavy, curly, and for the first time in this series, kinky hair. So you can create all sorts of looks, from funky to elegant.

Look, if you’re into hair and beauty apps, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it’s a really fun way to get creative. Worth checking out for sure.

So here's my honest take on Toca Hair Salon 3. I've tested a bunch of these creative sandbox style apps and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The hair physics are super realistic and the styling tools are really robust. You can get super detailed and precise with the cuts and colors. But it's also approachable enough that even younger kids can jump in and start experimenting. The randomized characters are a nice touch too - keeps things fresh. My main gripe is that the upgrade system can get a bit grindy if you're trying to unlock everything. But overall it's a really solid app that's perfect for anyone who wants to unleash their inner hair stylist.
