I enjoy the reminders so I get done things I tend to forget about, like changing out towels and bedding regularly. I would like to be able to copy a task, and maybe I just haven't figured out how yet. Also, it would be nice to be able to sort tasks by how long until they're due, so if I want to get a little ahead, it would be easy to figure out what tasks are coming up without scanning all the room list. Also, a single screen listing all the tasks due today and another listing all the overdue.
Reviews for Tody - Smarter Cleaning
← Back to Tody - Smarter CleaningThis has literally changed my life. Instead of getting anxiety over all the things that need to be done...I can space everything out & only do the things that NEED to be done today. I love working my way down my to do list each day...and that it automatically writes itself everyday. I love the sounds. Highly recommend to people with anxiety. Just get through the set up, be thorough, and leave the rest to Tody! I just wish we could change up the colors & buy the app instead of subscribe to pro.
It stopped working for me. I can't log in anymore and have lost everything. Error: insufficient data. Edit: it works again. Very pleased with the app overall. there are a few things I would change personally, and I would love a PC app, but the android app is quite comprehensive and easy to use and certainly makes life easier and building good habits. thank you!
I really like this app. It helps me keep track of what needs cleaned, even the obscure things that only get done once every few months. I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 though since the sync feature isn't yet available & I have to keep sending lists. Not very efficient. Other than that it works great. I would like to see a 'fix it' section added where you can list things that are broken & they don't reoccur when they are marked fixed, but keep a log to see if it's a reoccurring problem.
Housework was overwhelming as Everything begged to be done all at once. This app lets me relax knowing each task's turn is coming, and I don't have to think about it much otherwise. It's become fun instead of drudgery, with that little dopamine hit every time I check something off the list. I have the premium version. If I could change 1 feature, it would be to make it possible to change a task's type without deleting the task and its history and starting over, like from 3 days/wk to Anytime.
I searched for a while for a good chores list app and this one is by far greater than any other's that I have used or tried to make myself. It keeps you on task and keeps you focused on your goals. My only real complaints would be I wish they would add a widget that would show a chore list, aswell as making it possible to pause chores without buying premium. But!!! I did buy premium and so far it has been worth every dime at a very affordable price at 9.99$ a year. Will be buying next year!:)
3 yr user here. Tody is THE BEST app to keep on top of life! I have ADHD, so I've tried 'em all. Tody breaks things down into small tasks for each day. It's simple to use, with all the features you need. I even use it for To-do lists, and daily habits tracker! Each morning it pops up every task I have that day and checking them off is just a swipe! Buy premium!! It's Cheap and you'll never have to get a new phone only to find that all your Tody info is gone :/ That sucks. Good CS & updates too.
Good in many ways. But when I clicked on the "feedback" link to make a request, it opened my email app without filling in the email address! I couldn't send feedback without an address! But the app is very good in most ways, and I plan to keep using the paid version. I only wish I could tell it not to assign tasks on certain days of the week (for example, Sundays, which many Christians observe as a day of rest). With that added, I'd give 5 stars.
A little surprised that "cleaning windows" isn't a standard cleaning option for most of the rooms, but I really enjoy being able to add any task i like. I wish the "sync with others" option wasn't a subscription. I also wish that you could set specific dates to do something (like flipping mattresses), or at least tie two tasks together.
Love the app! Being ADHD, I've used quite a few task apps and this is the only one I keep around and actually use fairly regularly. I'm having a hard time justifying the price tag though. My biggest, and so far only, request is the ability to make multiple reminders for the same day! Just one doesn't cut it for the ADHD brain. We need reminders! Lots and lots of reminders!
Tody is the goat. It's one of only 5 I keep on my home screen. ✅️ free version is fully functional and accessible, and the paid version is affordable and adds a few bells n whistles that I happily pay for because I love it and want to support the devs. ✅️ family-friendly. No creepy ads. ✅️ built-in Pomodoro timer with an optional shortlist of chores. I love how simply functional this app is. I've been using it for over 3 years now. I'd love to see more colors and options for widgets.
Love Tody! This has totally upped my game and our house has never looked better. If it were a one-time purchase instead of a subscription model I would definitely invest in the premium version. (The free version is amazing on its own, but some of the premium features look awesome, like being able to sync across accounts for all members of your family, assigning tasks to different accounts or competing to get the most done.)
I was really looking forward to using this to get organized. I paid for the family premium plan. I spent hours setting it up and used it for two months. Then I got a new phone and after several emails gave up on being about to sync my account. I have never seen an app that makes it so difficult to simply LOG IN TO MY OWN ACCOUNT. For $30 you would think they could add a log in/log out feature! I asked for a refund and will just have to find another app.
This app allows you to set chores/tasks on certain days of the week, monthly, yearly, every 10 days, every 20 days etc. You can set certain tasks to only be active during certain months of the year. (Gardening for example) I rely heavily on this app and it does not disappoint! You can have different groups. Example laundry, bathroom, pets etc.
I really love this app . There's a free version and a paid, but the paid is seriously cheap. The app makes it so easy to organize what I want to get done a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. I keep discovering little extras that it does. For example, at first it was confusing to have long lists with different sure dates, but then I realized it gives you a total of what's due in the list. I do wish you could make a list that doesn't reset until the day after you finish checking off the list.
As a dedicated chore/task app i love this and it's easy to use. I don't like how many features are locked unless you pay a subscription, but that's my personal feelings and not a fault the app itself. My only real problem is that i'd like to be able to set reminders for certain times of day, but at least with the free version, you can only set a single reminder.
This is the best cleaning schedule app I've found. Getting everything set up was easy, each room type has preset tasks to choose and lets you change frequency. If things dont get done it says "3 days overdue" but there's no "7 tasks were left from yesterday" to make me feel like I didn't get anything done. The Dusty challenge has been a good way to get me up and start doing things. I've been using it almost 3 weeks now and have gotten so much more done.
So far I'm really enjoying this app. I like that they let you have a free trial before committing to the annual. I really do wish they added more colors since it's really only a few shades of green and purple. The dust monster feature can be toggled on and off and you can adjust difficulty. I'm comparing it to Sweepy but ngl, I like both apps!
Since I started using this app, I'm way more organized and I'm easily able to see what chore(s) need to be done next. I upgraded to premium, and had my husband as well, and we are really loving being able to sync everything. I will say, it's a little annoying that it's not more clear how syncing works and that both/all phones will need to upgrade to premium in order to sync. It ends up being $4.99/yr per phone connected. It's totally worth the price, I just wish the pricing was more clear.
ADHD approved! A week ago, I was looking up cleaning calendars for adults/organizing apps because I felt I needed a way to not feel so overwhelmed with whatever chores I needed to get done. It always felt like I was behind on something and I wasn't being productive enough. This app is an absolute game changer. Not only is it easy to set up, but I feel like my house has never been cleaner, which sounds strange to say lmao. Plus, I like the little sounds when clicking on something.
