It was good, then they updated it and got rid of the most useful part for me - having a daily reminder each day on which room to clean. I also want to be able to reset the 'christmas' weeks but can't seem to do that anymore. Previous version was excellent, really adaptable, now I'm not convinced and don't seem to use it as much
Reviews for TOM: The Organised Method
← Back to TOM: The Organised MethodBrilliant app! It's made clear before you purchase what it is. I love that..you can roll over any items, it's fully customisable, it has a timer, it links to Spotify and the blog. It's an organisation app and for a one of purchase I have no complaints!! Other than you still have to do the cleaning yourself but even that is getting better thanks to TOMM!!
Very good concept as I LOVE TOMM but in my opinion it's what I would expect from a free app and I don't think it's worth £5 as there's no options to share jobs among family members, once you've missed something for the previous day there's no option to migrate it or add it to your current days work without editing the whole day. Or you can't go back and tick something off from the previous 1.I know how much effort has gone in to making it and I can see that. I just expected more from a paid app.
Sadly really not impressed for 4.99. Constantly full of bugs and even when it does work there's just nothing on the app that justifies the price for me. I can get all the info from the blog or social media accounts for free. I also don't like that there are so many links taking you out of the app, the appearance and flow of the app, feels too simplified.
Multiple issues. 1. When I go to log in, there's always a long random password in the box I have to delete before I can enter mine. It should at least remember my password, although I don't why the app needs one. 2. I customised my daily jobs and it says you have to refresh to get the updated jobs list. Except it's not once, you have to refresh EVERY SINGLE DAY. 3. Small bugs, like once I'm logged in telling me my password is incorrect, or not letting me click on the job lists for the day.
This app is excellent for those who wants to get onto a daily routine with a boost of support from online community. I use it every single day. But ● this app is expensive for what it offers. It's basically a tick off list with a few extras. Love love the timer option though!! ● it doesn't show statistics or way to keep track when things were done or missed. Like a habit pattern tracker to keep track of progress. So it can be easy to fall back and not keep on top of things.
This app is so useful! I love that you can share your log in so the whole family can use the same account to view the lists. I also love that you can "customise your clean" to add and remove jobs. Only a 4 star because I wish there was a quick way to swap days around - my busiest days change week to week, so I want to change the cleaning days around to suit my time. I also wish you could edit the order of the tasks on the list. I want it to be tidy, then dust, then hoover, not random.
keeps logging me out, I have to sign in every time? also said it before but PLEASE can we know which week it is, shown at the top - it drives me insane trying to figure out which week it is (not the week number but the name- master bedroom etc) Thanks!
Was initially really good. Not used for a while and forgotten password so requested a reset. Was sent a reset via email and then tried to login. Repeatedly saying no account registered with said email address?? Why am I locked out? I paid for the app and have several emails going back years to prove it. Very frustrating!!
Paid 5.99 thinking it was a one off purchase, now charge 3.99 a month. Won't be using it again.
sorry why do I need to enable record audio? pay for an app that can no longer be used seems like a waste of money to be honest. edit to add: i have zero access to the app as it will no longer let me in
So handy and thorough! Every day I find something else I love. Perfect balance between motivation and low pressure
paid once now I have to pay again? I paid once a while ago to install the app . Now every time I try to log in I get a message that my subscription has expired. My lifetime subscription was not supposed to expire . It's unfortunate that now it seems that I have to uninstall the app since I don't want to pay again .
I purchased the app earlier this year for 5.99 thinking it would be a one off cost. Loved the app and how it kept me on top of everything. The subscription has now changed to 3.99 a month! Very disappointing when I paid for the app. I wouldn't say the app is worth that much. Will not be subscribing at such a high cost.
Love the app, but it stopped working. Reinstalled, restarted phone. Started with not letting me go to the next day without crashing only one day on there, then I couldn't log in. Now when I login it shuts the app down. Don't have a clue what's going on. If there are subscription changes there should be an option to set it up not just take it away I want the service I enjoy the app and was using it everyday. I want to keep it. I want to pay. But instead its unusable
This is a great concept let down by technical issues. I love the guided sessions but if I use my own music, they cut out which is very frustrating. Since the last update the app won't open at all. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. Disappointing, as I had been using it on a daily basis and felt the subscription was excellent value. I would give this five stars if it worked.
Unable to get support to reset password. I've checked all email inboxes, including junk, and it has not been sent. While admittedly, it's been ages since I used the app, it's completely useless now. I would even be willing to repurchase to get it back, but I can't do that either. Great response time here! Email sent awaiting reply for assistance. I sent an email to support on 11/29 NO RESPONSE. Resent 12/11. Waiting again.
I really love her on YouTube and the motivation button is nice.. I just wish there was a to do list you could cross off with the little satisfying ding when you get it done, some notifications and a widget to put on the phone, maybe a place to put your schedule for the day, then it would be perfect! You can always use the Google calendar app but I like the color scheme of organized mum better..
I've used the app's checklist feature for a while: it's basic, but helpful for someone like me who gets overwhelmed by housework easily. I recently started a free trial to try out some guided cleaning sessions and like them well enough that I will probably keep it. My only beef is that sometimes the app crashes mid cleaning and there's no easy way to get back to where you were. Ideally, it wouldn't crash at all, but bookmarks would be nice, especially for non app related pauses.
I like that you can customize tasks but when I can't get all jobs completed on a day, the next week the jobs will show up as all being due instead of showing the ones that you finished last week so you can start with the ones you didn't finish. There is a roll over option but it doesn't work. It sometimes repeats the same task on the same day and it will show some tasks as being rolled over but then other tasks disappear. I ended up using the printables, and couldn't get a refund for the app.
