Description
Been testing Track Any Phone for about a month now. It’s basically a GPS tracking app that lets you share your location with others, but with a twist – you can do one-way tracking. That means you can share your location without having to see the other person’s location back. Pretty neat if you’re not into that whole mutual tracking thing.
The main thing here is the real-time tracking. You just set up who you want to share with, and that’s it. There’s some decent privacy controls – you can turn sharing on and off whenever you want, and set time limits for how long someone can see your location. Battery life isn’t too bad either, which surprised me since most tracking apps just drain your phone like crazy.
Look, if you’re someone who needs to share their location with family or friends but doesn’t want the whole two-way tracking setup, this is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the interface is kind of basic and sometimes the tracking gets a bit wonky – but it gets the job done. Really handy for parents keeping tabs on kids or letting your partner know where you are without making it a whole thing.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take after using Track Any Phone alongside other tracking apps. I've gotta say, the one-way tracking feature is actually pretty smart. Most apps force you into this whole mutual tracking situation, which can be awkward sometimes. But here's the thing - while the core feature is solid, the app itself feels a bit rough around the edges. The map view could definitely use some work, and I'm not crazy about how the settings are organized. That said, it's way less pushy about premium features than apps like Life360, which I appreciate. Battery drain is decent too - not great, but I've seen way worse. Would I recommend it? Yeah, if you're specifically looking for one-way tracking. Just don't expect anything super fancy.
