So here's my honest take on Trailforks. I've tested a bunch of trail mapping apps and this one is definitely one of the best. The level of detail and coverage is super impressive - it's got an insane database of trails from all over. The route planning and navigation features work really well too. Compared to some other apps, Trailforks just feels more complete and polished. That said, it's not without its issues. The app can lag or crash occasionally, and the free version has a lot of annoying ads. But if you're a regular mountain biker or gravel rider, I'd say Trailforks is definitely worth downloading.

Description

I’ve been using Trailforks for a couple months now. It’s basically a super detailed trail mapping and navigation app for mountain bikers, gravel riders, and other off-road cyclists. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do: There’s a huge database of trails you can browse, with condition reports and all kinds of info. You can also plan routes, get directions to trailheads, and even download offline maps. It’s got a GPS tracker too so you can see where you are on the trails. Took me a while to figure out all the features but they’re pretty useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re a serious mountain biker or gravel grinder, you’ll probably really like Trailforks. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little buggy sometimes and the ads can get annoying. But overall it does a great job at being your one-stop-shop for all your off-road riding needs. Worth checking out for sure.

Either pay for it (subscription) or it's terrible. I rarely use the app, maybe a half dozen times a year so I'm not going to upgrade to the pro version....

I had to uninstall and reinstall the app 3 times to get it set up correctly, and even now it has a very limited free version. I'm very hesitant paying...

None of the trials around me show including the Great Allegheny Passage. There's 1 halfway across my state. The only way to ever see them is to zoom all the...
