So here's my honest take on TrailView. I've tested a bunch of GPS and trail apps, and this one's pretty good overall. The core functionality works really well - easy to map routes, see where you are, download trail maps. The level of detail on the maps is impressive too. The downsides are that it can be a bit buggy at times and the map downloads take longer than I'd like. But it's free to use and doesn't feel like it's nickel-and-diming you, so I'd say it's worth giving a shot if you're an off-road enthusiast.

Description

I’ve been using TrailView for a couple months now. It’s basically a GPS app that tracks the trails you ride on your ATV, dirt bike, or 4×4. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can map out different trails and save them on your phone. There’s also detailed trail maps you can buy in-app for specific riding areas. And it’s got all the GPS features you’d expect – shows your location, records your route, lets you share trails with friends. Took me a while to figure out some of the more advanced features but it’s all pretty user-friendly.

Look, if you’re an off-road enthusiast, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the map downloads can be a bit slow sometimes – but overall it does the job of helping you find and track your rides. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a solid trail mapping tool.
