This is definitely a great app to continue the feel of the Trek total launcher theme. The only issue I have is that it keeps a tally of messages. Even when I have read everything it tells me I have 172 unread messages and it keeps growing. I can't seem to get it to recognize that all the messages have been read.
So, I do love the look of this, but I wll echo someone else's complaint that the bottom Home/ Back buttons disappearing is annoying. More importantly, it seems that as soon as I started using this app, my family could see my txts to our group chat, but i couldn't see their txts. i don't know enough tech these days to understand why, but if i'm given direction, i'd be happy to help.
Gosh, I love where this app is going, but it's not quite there. There are a lot of bugs. 1. If you choose a phone font, text in settings gets cut off and buttons move out of alignment. 2. For Samsung Note 20, hovering the s-pen over message threads makes horrible constant noises. 3. Gesture nav buttons overlay the interface, hide, and are hard to get up. 4. The classic LCARS font is illegible for message text but it would be great to keep it on menus for the complete look. Please don't give up!
Dude, this app is almost perfect. But it's making my nav buttons disappear from the bottom of the screen. So everytime I have to go back between texts or back to my home screen I have to swipe up from the bottom first. I saw the response... Changing my review to 5 stars. I really don't like that solution. But I like you, and your ridiculously quick response time. You care about your product and it shows. maybe you could add a selector in settings to bring the buttons back in a future release.
The app looks and sound great! But when I go back to home screen and press the SMS button it changes to default in order for me to use the app. I have to go to play store and open it. Can you please fix this. And when I try to use my phone installed SMS it tells me I need to choose IT as a default in order to send a text.
Can't get it to work! Every time messenger comes up instead! I've Uninstaller cleaned my phone reinstalled, gone through permissions, 4 hours spent trying to fix it!!!! Maybe the developer would be nice enough to help me, it worked when I first downloaded everything, star trek t.i. large, comm, sounds, and sms....what am I doing wrong please....
Been using it for years, but today the app crashes when I open it, I have tried restarting my phone, I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, it will still crash. Update: 5 stars, they were able to help me get the app working again. Now my Star Trek theme phone is completed again!
Edit 2: I did that as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. It still hangs and crashes on initial msg sync. I also sent an email to the support email listed here. Used to use this on my Galaxy S10 and I recently upgraded to an S21 but the app no longer works. It won't import my messages during the initial app opening and just hangs and crashes. The bar stops at around .5% and then the app crashes.
The app aesthetics are on point. if there were no issues, i wind give this app 5*. however, the app would recieve late text messages or they would not come in at all. the only way i found to receive new messages was to resync the database every time which is time consuming and the constant beeping is extremely annoying. i want to love this app, but i just can't until the sync issues are fixed
This app is a great companion to the LCARS interface for the rest of the phone. My biggest complaint though is that I get a ton of spam messages with it that the built-in Android SMS app normally blocked. I wish it could use the built-in SMS spam blocking functionality without the need to download and install yet another app to do that.
