I love the clear view of this app and all its features. But I give it 4 stars only because I thought it was a navigation trucker map app. I thought I could put in an address, and it would navigate me on a truck route from Point A to Point B. I guess that to come? If and when it does, then I will give it 5 stars.
Reviews for Trucker Guide: Truck GPS Maps
← Back to Trucker Guide: Truck GPS MapsHelpful app to locate fuel and stops along the route. The update with traffic cams and weather is very helpful, especially in questionable weather. Anxiously waiting for the Truck Navigation feature. Then, all the info will be in a total package.
Must have for truckers! Only issue I've had is that locations sometimes don't reload after I move the circle on the map. If I toggle Truck Stops, Weigh Stations, Scales, etc buttons, sometimes they reload. Otherwise have to restart the device.
Excellent app for truckers ! The only thing I wish it showed more parking availability history, just like Trucker path app . Only 3 times of history shows on this app. Not able to predict parking availability without days and weeks of history. Missing many low bridges. But no annoying ads at all .
I like what you're doing,, and you keep improving your app. Adding more places and keeping up-to-date. that's impressive.. I've been a driver for 22 years on and off the last 15 years straight. I like your app better than trucker path. And several others. Thank you.
Could be alot better for truck routes. Sometimes I get a road I can't go down.
I have nothing against the app it's amazing if you're a trucker but I downloaded it from the website because I wanted to keep watching the traffick cam live feeds. my husband travels for work and the cameras are super helpful for weather and traffic. the app is unfortunately not like the website. still a great app for a trucker though
Only useful for large chain companies. Independents are basically excluded. You also need to know where the place is beforehand. Too many menus to select thru just to find something. If you use phone or another app while using, you lose what you were looking at/searching for, making it far to repetitive. While you CAN select when low clearances are shown, the directions feature does not take them into account when giving directions. Good try... But needs massive testing prior to releasing
initial review the app okay would like to see estimate time in traffic appear on the app. Will keep as a back to truckers path
Though I am not ok on the road yet, I'm wondering how much data does Truker Guide Use. Though I have unlimited data, in my opinion, I would be using a lot of data to plan routes, and operate the GPS from my phone
As of 07/06/2025, it is still a Very Raw Version. It does have potential but it is not there yet. Google Maps / Apple Maps is a much better option, and has more features and is easier to use. $15 monthly subscription or $135 annual subscription is way too much, maybe in the future it will be ok, but for now $5 a Year will be a fair one-time donation and not worth a subscription. Note for developers: Remember this app was made for a big phone or tablet and looks ok on 10" screens and up.
I opted to a 7 day free trial and instead you charged me right away please refund me the money.
You can't save a location in your favorite and you can't add a governor speed of your truck so your eta will be way off.
This app is resource-hungry. It is awkward at times and locks up. However, it is clean and easy on the eyes. It offers what you need and then some. Get familiar with it and you'll prefer it over Truckers Path (TP). Maybe. I hope the developers continue to streamline this app. It will be the TP alternative for certain.
It's truly frustrating when it drops pins without drawing the map to reference. It's even worse when it draws the map without dropping the pins I'm looking for. When it works, it's quite useful. it works less than half the attempts to use it.
A few bugs, freezes when on phone calls,v you can choose different routes but it can and will change to its desired one midtrip without warning. overall the benefits are out weighing the negatives
I was hoping you would become my #1 parking app. But unfortunately it's a year later & your still not my #1. Many times you don't even have the location I end up parking at. So I've been adding "new locations" as much as I can. But it doesn't seem to be getting any better. So unfortunately I'm giving up on this app & Un-installing. OLD: Dark mode is a good start. But black would be better the gray. Also font of the time of the last parking update is to small to read without glasses.
Life saver after Trucker Path became too buggy to use. It would be nice to be able to toggle off truck stops that do not have any parking. The far left and far right icons don't make much sense. Seen fueling and parking at both. It would also be nice to adjust the size of the location pins. Just downloaded so, initial impressions so far. Really, really appreciate how fast it responds and that it isn't bogged down with extras I don't use.
I have used this app for almost 7 days of the free trial and so far it's been ok. However, a couple of things could still be improved such as zooming in on the map, especially while using the satellite view. I noticed that as of now, you can only zoom in so much. Also, I am not sure if it's possible to add favorite places yet, although it looks like that feature is already there. It just doesn't work. Last and most important, please fix speed limits so they show the right speed while navigating.
I'll change it to five Stars once the following two issues get resolved. Works great if it's the only app running. But if I have, say, Pandora running, it over heats the phone. It does not do that with any other navigation app I've used. The other thing is that it seems to require cellular in order to set a route. It would be nice if offline maps were available for when you do not have a cell signal. Aside from those two issues, it is my preferred truck navigation app.
