This application need to make alot of changes to it's application. in looking for options as pricing there ask for a range and list orders out of the pricing and the square footage is smaller than the person wants. This needs to be updated correctly.
Reviews for Trulia Rent Apartments & Homes
← Back to Trulia Rent Apartments & HomesI get updates and real time price drops in rent. Google view from road with most. it just great
Previous version has crime statistics. Better version doesn't. This was invaluable information in deciding where to move. Not as useful now an app now. Uninstalled.
Great app and have no real issues with its use. The only complaint is that it seems the app is not handling the Dark Mode system theme within some sections of the app. An email was sent to support.
I was getting alerts, but when I click on them, the site NEVER takes me to the item. I will have to try and look it up manually. Also, suggested apartments are NOT anything I would even remotely consider. Also "Cooling Only" is a ridiculous label. What I want to know is, does this apartment have central air? air conditioning unit? ALL apartments have heat, but what kind? Forced air? Radiator? Because of my experience, I have stopped all notifications.
At the begining i was getting only pet friendly properties as per my filters setting... but now I get a bunch of NO PETS properties and is getting frustrating because I get my hopes up and now I have to really read through all the text descriptions to finally find at the bottom that is a no pets property. Filters don't work as good as they used to.
Simply not as good as the competition. Very few listings and very poor response times from the people posting said listings. I do not like Facebook, I find it repellent. However there are literally hundreds more listings on marketplace and the response time is so much better. After weeks of trying to find a place on Trulia I gave in and tried Facebook. Literally found a place the next day and had to turn down several offers. Don't waste your time here.
I like the neihborhood info with the listings. I can see why others have trouble with the call /email buttons, but my device is long enough that it isn't an issue for me. I wish it would save more info on the device. It saves my last search, so it can, but if I want to save a particular listing, I need an account? Why? This info doesn't belong on the cloud; it's just for me. I suspect many people, like me, will never get an account to share this data, so devs should allow us to store it locally.
Unlike even their other spp, once this app decides it is going to send you notifications, you cannot modify the criteria, or at least not in a way that is intuitive. Also unlike the trulia app, I cannot specify pets in my search. I'm getting notified on tons of irrelevant places. Yes I can turn off the notifications, but then why not just use the spps that do let me set the criteria I want and update criteria. I do like the neighborhood information; but, I get that in the regular trulia app.
Solid app for looking through listings, love the statistics for the neighborhood you are looking at. Only reason I dont give 5 stars is because the map is not responsive or sometimes downright obnoxious. For instance, I will click on a listing and instead of opening the listing it will think I've tapped the neighborhood, which then triggers an animation and hides all entries outside of the neighborhood. To get back to my search I have to back out and 'remove boundary'.
I've typically looked elsewhere when looking for rentals in the past, but decided to give Trulia a shot and was pleasantly surprised! Way more listings than any other competing apps and the 'saved searches' were very helpful. My one minor complaint is when I tried to set it up to notify me about new listings matching my saved searches - it did some times but a lot of the times I'd login to find new stuff I never received notifications for. But I did end up finding a place thanks to Trulia!
This app would be perfect if the notifications for "houses that are right for the you" actually paid attention to your saved searches. App is easy to use but I'm getting notifications at least five times a day for houses in my price range that don't take into account my other requirements for a rental home. I'm getting sick of getting rentals that at first glance seem perfect for me and then I open them in the app and see Pets Allowed: No. That's not what I've put down I'm looking for or saved.
Very good overall but I have one issue I've sent to customer support (still waiting to hear back). Whenever I try to delete my save searches they come right back when I reopen the app. Also I'd recommend making it mandatory for anyone trying to list a place to rent to add an address for an office or phone number to for contact. I've seen a few places I was interested in but looked all over for an email or number to call while finding none.
This app is very good at giving you details about the it's surroundings with nearby schools and crime in the area. Even helps with the process of getting into contact with the right people you need to. My biggest complaint though is that when looking at apartments, using the price , square footage , and bed & bath filters they only seem to be there to get you into the broad selection of apartments they have. It doesn't actually narrow it down to the specific types of apartments you want.
This is an excellent app. The options to narrow down searches are awesome. I appreciate all of my prefrences being saved in the filter, that I can save the houses I'm interested in, as well as hide the ones I'm not, and the boxes on the map going from blue to grey to remind me I viewed a listing. Lastly, I really like having control of the radius on the map. I'm so glad the 🦕 days of being limited to searching for houses by (unfamiliar/unknown) zip codes are long gone! Those who know - know!
I love the way the app sends recommendations. All the important things in the first line. However I would love to be able to filter my recommendations to my needs. The app constantly sends units that are either out of my price range or won't allow pets. Maybe I'm overlooking the way to do it, but if not I hope they will add this to the next update.
I really like all of the extras; especially the "crime" stats. I may really like a certain place but I first look to see if he crime stats to see if it is in certain area. Also like looking at all of the other extras going across the top bar. This is by far my favorite rental app; I find it quite difficult to use another as I've not found one with all of the additional information.
It's fine for what it is. I absolutely hate the notifications. The notifications show you pictures of the most expensive rentals with the lowest cost rental prices next to them. Then when you click on the unbelievable notification it takes you to a list of rentals that aren't even available under my search parameters even though the notification says "based on your recent search" I'm not sure why this happens none of the other rent apps do this. I turned the notifications off.
Spam machine. The majority of homes I get in notifications for my "saved searches" are not part of the filters I set up at all. A lot of them don't allow pets when I need them to. Most of them aren't in the areas I filtered to. It's also pretty annoying how I get notifications for places that are "off market". Lots of extra noise when I'm trying to find a place..
I really wish there was a way to hide 55+ and income restricted units. I don't qualify for these, but they are easily 1/3 of all my results. I would love the ability to block them. I can hide individual listings, but if there are 2 units in the same complex, I can't hide them. Hidden listings still show up in my Feed, which wouldn't be as annoying if the app opened on my search results instead of the Feed. But no, the first thing I see when I open the app are places I don't want to see.
