Description
So I’ve been using Truth Social for about 3 months now. It’s basically Twitter’s conservative cousin – same kind of setup where you post short messages, follow people, and share stuff you like. The interface is pretty familiar if you’ve used Twitter before, which makes it super easy to jump right in.
You can post your thoughts (they call them ‘Truths’ instead of tweets), share pics, and repost other people’s stuff (they’re ‘ReTruths’). There’s a discover feed to find new accounts to follow, and you can use hashtags just like on other social platforms. The DM system works okay too, though it’s pretty basic compared to what you get on bigger apps.
Look, if you’re into conservative politics or feeling frustrated with content moderation on other platforms, this might be your thing. It’s definitely got a specific audience in mind. The app itself runs decent enough, but don’t expect all the fancy features you get with the big social networks. Kind of a mixed bag depending on what you’re looking for.
Editor Opinion
Here's my honest take after using Truth Social for a while: It's basically doing what it says on the tin - providing a space for folks who feel censored elsewhere. But there's some stuff you should know. The user base is way smaller than Twitter or Facebook, so it can feel pretty quiet sometimes. And it's pretty much an echo chamber - not gonna lie, you won't find much political diversity here.
The tech side is... okay? Like, it works, but it feels a bit behind the times. I've had some random crashes, and the search function isn't great. Been testing social media apps for years, and this one's still got some catching up to do with the big players. That said, if you're specifically looking for conservative content, it does the job.
Pros & Cons

- Pretty much zero content moderation if that's your thing
- Clean, simple interface that doesn't try to do too much
- No algorithm messing with your feed order
Cons
- Way smaller user base than other social platforms
- Tends to be really one-sided politically
- App can be buggy and crash sometimes
- Missing some basic features you'd expect from social media
