Reviews for Tubi: Free Movies & Live TV

They have a variety of movies and shows that are for all ages and the best part is free! Honestly, I like it a lot I discover movies and shows that I didn't know about. They do have ads but in my opinion, they don't take long like other streaming services. You can consider that as a mini break to drink water or get something like candy or popcorn. We use Tubi for movie nights. This app is awesome!

Since the previous update, the ad breaks have become very frequent, and the length of the ad breaks are longer than before. The app crashes whenever I try to watch a movie. The caption now has background, and when I try to change it in settings, it does not work. And, the foreign films do not come with English subtitles anymore. This app has become so unbearable to use, and it has quite a few bugs.

I give it a full 5 because there is so much content, I find myself watching more than I do on Netflix. It especially has lots of Rock and other music content including documentaries, and every category you can think of. it's user friendly, does not require giving out info, although if you register, you will get the added benefit of your wait history and a couple of other perks. In my opinion, this is the best free app since Roku.

I really like the app, a large selection of movies that I really enjoy and ones that I've never heard of before that fall down my alley; also alot of movies that aren't really streaming anywhere else. My only problems are how there are quite a few ad breaks during movies, but its nothing ridiculous, and they dont last too long, and I mean, it makes sense. But there is also this glitch where my app language switches from English to Spanish, which only happens to this app. It's quite annoying.

Tubi is great for free movies. Sometimes the commercials are annoying but what can you do? ●~UPDATE HERE: Actually I have noticed the commercials are more frequent, as in popping up every 6 to 10 minutes! That is absolute interference with the enjoyment of a movie. I have submitted report after report about this issue to no avail!! The movies are ALL free! Can search my genre, actor, and movie name. Pause for any length of time. It's a decent app.

so far, I like this app. I'm in a crisis center, cant sleep, can't use my laptop... so I was was watching on phone, tubi all night, movie after movie, saved me from bored, losing mind. so thank you. so far, each movie has ads, but not unpleasant forced, not buggy ads like a lot of phone apps... It was like viewing TV, only 1 minute commercials mostly. entire app, has worked seamlessly, not intrusive.

Tubi is actually pretty awesome. I find myself constantly looking for "what the catch" is cause whenever something is too good to be true, there's ALWAYS a catch!! However, not this time. Not with Tubi. Surprisingly, what you see is what you get. There are A LOT of ads that pop up out of nowhere at the most inconvenient times but at least they are short and usually just 2 or 3 at most!! It's really 100% free as well. I actually cancelled Netflix and Hulu cause we have Tubi.

This is one of my everyday apps. Sometimes I don't like the commercials when they come in 4 at a time. if I had a way to skip the commercials I would give it a 5 star review. Other than that, the movie selections are good, and it's free. I was never pressure or tricked into any subscriptions like other apps. So I could recommend this to others because there's no risk to use this app and I love it.

Good quality on playback. doesn't lag like certain other networks. Some really great programs, not the fluff like so many others. I watch more on Tubi than anything else by far. I hate commercials, and if there was a reasonable option for commercial-free Tubi, I'd do it, but as it is, the commercials are not excessive, again, unlike others that feel like commercials with a TV show spliced in. Keep up the great work, Tubi.

Update 5 - they fixed it, this app is really great but not perfect, they have a lot of good movies/TV show you can watch they do have ads but its not as much than TV. It has issues but not most of the time. They should make the app like most of the streaming platforms where we can pay for it and let it be opinional like Hulu, Peacock, etc.

I was gonna give it four stars because it seems there could be a slightly better Movie Selection or have a slightly faster rotation maybe for movies to Rotate or change But then again I don't think there is another Movie App to even get movies 100% free?!! Very impressive for the sake of everyone! Doesn't get much better of a generous service ad that?!! Thanx!!!

I love Tubi, I watch all the time movies and older sitcoms. But now when I open it, search, rewind, or resume watching, I keep getting "That didn't work, restart the app or close it." Also when I click on "my stuff" then click "view" nothing happens, just blank. Should see my list of movies and tv shows I am watching. Now, nothing is there. I have the latest version, recently updated.

Great app. User friendly, not all the unnecessary, unwanted pop-ups. I like it because it allows you to save movies you'd like to watch later. I highly recommend I have it on all my devices and television's. Plus, it's not as low budget and cornie as it was when it first came out. I personally give it a 10

The only downside is the amount of ads and their length. Especially when watching a show, you have to sit through a minute to a minute and a half of ads every 20-30 minutes. It's not as bad when watching movies, but there's still more than anyone would like. Overall, it's about the same as watching cable TV, if they repeated the same ads all day on every channel. Despite all that, everything works like it should. They have an extensive library of all movie and show genres available. Good app

Tubi is fantastic. Movies and TV shows play seamlessly, albeit with occasional commercials, but that pays for the service, so no complaint. It is MUCH more enjoyable to watch a movie on Tubi rather than the satellite or cable stations, with their massive bundles of commercials so lengthy and numerous that you forget what you were watching or why. Tubi has a massive searchable categorized free library from which to choose, and runs smoothly on your phone or cast it from your phone to your TV.

It's free so the commercials don't bother me at all. That said, Tubi has an awesome selection of movies. On top of that I tried a little experiment. Three times now I have searched for movies that were not in their database. Each time, I searched for them a few times over the course of a couple weeks. Not saying that my searching was the direct cause, BUT every time that movie has showed up with 2 to 3 weeks. This has become my go to app for movies.

By far the best streaming app ever! Great selection and awesome service not to mention it's free! I've never had technical or other issues with Tubi. The app is perfect on all platforms from the TV apps to mobile and tablets and it runs really smooth, if anyone's having any issues it's probably with your device and not the app. The app, even after updates, takes up so little space. It's just perfect all around. I'm not getting paid or anything to say this but I truly love Tubi!

Tubi is literally the only streaming app that has most, if not all, of the titles that I am looking to watch. Some of these titles are from the '80s and '90s, some are animated and some not, some are fairly new. Some titles I never thought I would see on anything (Power Rangers Light speed Rescue 😅) And that app's been flawless, I've never had an issue. Most of my r&r time goes to music, but when I'm feeling TV and movies, Tubi is my go to.

It isn't perfect, does have annoying ads that appear out of nowhere but thankfully they are short ads. Depending on your tastes there's a lot of selection, almost too much. It has a lot of older movies that are hard to find and for the most part I have no complaints. Sometimes there's skipping, and buffering, and the sound is low on a few. But I noticed those were pre 90's movies. It does use up data fast, so be mindful of that if that's an issue. Still nothing beats free! Love it!

Tubi currently has one of, if not the, best catalogs of streaming- paid and free! Genuinely. I ended up cancelling two of my paid streaming subscriptions because I was primarily watching Tubi and not using them. Tubi does have ads, but so did those services that I was paying for, and those were more frequent and longer breaks. The UI is great too. There's so many categories to explore, the recommendations algorithm is great, and everything is organized nicely and intuitively.
