I applied for an apartment through TurboTenant and paid the $45 fee. After contacting the manager of the apartments, she said she doesn't even use them! Sent a request for a refund and was denied. I wanted to warn anyone else who considers using their services. I truly believe this was a total scam!!

I have really liked using TurboTenant. It is super convienent to make my monthly payments, and to message my landloard. I am very happy with this program. I like that it sends out reminders and allows me to request maintence if needed. My only frustration has been the monthly updates that make it harder to log in.
it a user friendly app and if you have any issues it gives you a quick way to communicate with the owner or put in a maintenance work order.
if I could give less stars I would... this is ridiculous there is literally no customer service whatsoever!!! I have been trying to figure out a way to contact someone that doesn't involve email cause no one responds to them (I've sent 3 in the last 2 weeks) I am so glad I'm moving and in 2 months never have to deal with this bs again!!!
I never could get the app to work. it demands I log in, but never gives me a chance to actually sign up. not functional.. constantly asked me to update the app even though it is updated. better off to spend my time driving around town looking for rental signs.
after new update the app is funky. when logging in, it will be logged in before it asks for thumb print. it also shows my old card number for card being used, when it's not even active anymore. app doesn't stay open, closes any time you leave the screen.
I like the app, until recently. I can't see any messages, it just shows an error on the message tab. When I reached out for help they told me to use the web browser instead after I completed all the troubleshooting and the error persisted. So what's the point of the app then? lol

Probably the worst app I've ever used. Opening the app will mute your phone's audio. Most of the time nothing will load and it will just send you in circles. Just use the website if you have to use this service everything usually works fine on the website.
Ease of use is descent but the fees are WAY too high. Rent is already high then add on $40 fee just to PAY rent.No thanks
Utterly defective. I messaged a landlord who responded, but to reply TurboTenant demands I create an account. Except it says my email is already in use and won't let me create an account. Nor is there any functional way to set a first time password (I get an error message) or change one to the extent this idiot system thinks I already have one. You could not do a better job of preventing people from using your app if you tried.
Glitchy but useful. the card convenience fee is BS. Overall decent for convenient, but the card fees add up.
The renters portion was better in the original app before they split the app into two. The renters app frequently needs updates, and this month, I can't even get it to log in.
App quits working every other month requires you to completely uninstall and reinstall for it to work again (10+ times in past year) and downloading rent paid receipts hasn't worked for 6+ months. Thankfully I can still pay rent on time otherwise app needs a lot of work.
Not linking bank account. Keeps saying to go back to app to finish linking and the process starts all over. Also the card fees are insanely high. Preying on renters. Edit: Got it to work on DESKTOP ONLY. Now, even after adding my payment info, I cannot correctly submit the payment on the mobile app. Cannot change payment methods, nor can I add more, even cards, via MOBILE. Apparently this only functions properly on DESKTOP. Model: Google Pixel 7, OS: Android 13
App seems barely functional at best. Messages don't work, they crash every time you try to even start a message. It tells you that you need an update everytime you open the app, despite being updated. Information doesn't sync for multiple accounts for the same lease. My fiancée uploaded the insurance info, but I keep getting asked to upload insurance information. I'm not sure about the maintenance reporting as our landlord doesn't use it because they say they don't get notifications for them.
This is genuinely the worst app I have ever used. It is slow, it does not show the same messages that the web version does, the setting buttons are half covered by the bottom banner, it's a disaster. If I wasn't required by my landlord to use this, I would delete it and never touch it again.
The app worked well for the first nine months. Today, 5 days before the rent is due, the app says I am not a tenant and have no bill, but I have a landlord who I can't pay in the app. Not good when you rely on an app to pay your bill, I have to find a fix on my own this holiday weekend. What should be a simple solution app now makes paying a challenge, randomly.
I have never in my life had more difficulty simply paying a bill! I have wasted hours jumping through all the hoops, verifications, temporary passwords, and third party (Plaid) text codes, etc. just to pay my rent, and it still isn't paid!! Now, I have to wait another 24 hours for their stupid penny deposit to hit my account, because "Oops! Something went wrong!" with the first one! It's hard enough to pay rent as it is these days without this program making it ridiculously more difficult.
