So here's my honest take on TV Remote - Universal Control. I've tried a bunch of these TV remote apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The automatic TV detection is super handy and I like that it works with all the major brands. The voice controls are a nice touch too, though they can be a bit finicky at times. My main gripe is the interface - it's not the most intuitive and took me a while to figure everything out. But once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty reliable way to control your TV from your phone.

Pros

  • Automatically detects smart TVs on the same WiFi network
  • Works with all the major TV brands like Samsung, LG, Sony, etc.
  • Lets you control everything from your phone - volume, channels, inputs
  • Has voice controls for changing channels and searching
  • Free to use with no limits

Cons

  • The interface can be a little clunky and not super intuitive
  • Voice controls don't always work as smoothly as you'd hope
  • Occasional connectivity issues if your WiFi is spotty
  • Might be overkill if you rarely lose your regular TV remote

Description

Been using TV Remote – Universal Control for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your smart TV right from your phone. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can connect the app to your TV over WiFi, and then you’ve got full control. There’s all the basic stuff like volume, channels, and input sources. And it’s got some more advanced features too – you can even use voice commands to change the channel or search for shows. Took me a while to figure some of that out, but it’s useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re constantly misplacing your TV remote, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Definitely makes controlling your TV a lot more convenient.
