Description
Been using TV (Samsung) Remote Control for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your Samsung TV from your phone. Pretty solid if you’re tired of looking for the actual remote.
Here’s what you can do: you can turn the TV on/off, change channels, adjust volume, and even use voice commands. There’s also a touchpad mode which is cool for navigating the TV menus. And if your phone has an IR blaster, you can even use it as a universal remote for other devices.
Look, if you’ve got a Samsung TV, you’ll probably find this app really handy. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit tricky if your network isn’t cooperating – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re constantly misplacing your actual remote.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on TV (Samsung) Remote Control. I've tested a bunch of remote control apps and this one's pretty good. The network controls work reliably 90% of the time, and the IR remote feature is a nice backup. And the app is straightforward to use and the voice commands are a cool addition. The only downsides are the occasional connectivity issues and the fact that it only works with newer Samsung TVs. But for most Samsung owners, this is a pretty solid alternative to the physical remote.
