The best blue light filter for Android I have found. It almost seems like a cliché, reading through the reviews, but it too used the app for over 2 years and was so happy with its functionality, overall design and convinience I switched to pro version. Great work, keep it up! Jen tak dál. 😊
Reviews for Twilight Pro Unlock
← Back to Twilight Pro UnlockI've used this app for years and finally got the pro to be able to have more setting options. I don't know how worth it the pro is. I wish the scheduler was easier to used and set. And I wish the pro features were a bit more in depth. The upgrades I got weren't quite worth the $3+ that I paid.
I have used this app on my last few phones without issue, except now with the S10. The app cant seem to draw over the notification area at the top of the screen when the bar is transparent. For example: when playing a full screen game, there is a large gap at the top of the screen that Twilight wont cover. It's hugely distracting, especially at night. Unfortunately is makes the app almost not worth using. Became a pro member to hopefully help fund fixing this bug!
For some reason this has now stopped working as it should. I have it set to always on, but in the last few days kept thinking the screen was very white, when checked, not paused. I've now had dry sore eyes for roughly 4/5 days, didn't know why. Today because screen so glaringly white I tried to change intensity & screen dim - nothing. Opened settings, no longer always on, as I had chosen. Once 5*app dropped to 2* & that's purely because I was able to turn it back on, but for how long I wonder.
Doesn't work properly on this phone. The fix suggested by the maker of the app didnt work. Then he just stopped responding to me. This pro version is useless to me and I'd like a refund. Don't buy it, folks Edit: Hi, whats the point of telling me to email you? As I say, I already did a long time ago when I had the initial problem. Your fix didnt work and then your ignored my follow-up emails. Search your inbox and find my last one to you if you really want to help.
Was 5* but: Per specific APP profile does not work unless tinting is effective. So does not work in Custom hours when app it's not tinting! You can turn it off for a specific app if twilight is already running. But we also need to tint a specific app with a second profile (or even default people) when twilight is off in Custom hours. Please fix for 5* & advertise as many will buy just for this as many don't know. But it's buggy anyway, please fix this big bug.
This app is always one of the first I install on every phone. I read stuff on my phone to fall asleep, and if I didn't have this filter, I wouldn't get sleepy! Then I'd have to read books with a light on. UGH, no fun. This app has been the only light filter I need for many years now. My thanks to the devs!
Update: Great response from the developer! Thank you! I have another request: In Filter Times, is it possible a combination starting with Custom and finishing with Sun (sunrise)? Old: I like this app a lot, but in AOD (Galaxy note 10+) keeps blinking in red and black during the night and I can't sleep. Is there a way to exclude the lock screen from getting red?
This app is great! I bought the Pro a week later after installing the first Twilight app. I have a real sensitivity to glares and the sun option on the Pro works great during the daytime, it reduces a lot of Glarus for me. I love that you can turning the twilight app off with just a touch or pausing it. Also at the end of the day, I am not really squinting my eyes or rubbing them anymore after coming home from work and watching TV at night. I installed it also on my Ipad.
I bought this app and supported it simce its release, I know its not you guys/girls fault (darn you google), but since it can no longer filter the latest Android OS (didnt work for Android O and now P) it's become a little redundant 😟 it can't filter my notifications bar or the bottom of my screen. Hope you find a way around this, been with you guys since the beginning.
The best night filter I could find. It is so customizable. Before bed I like to make my screen as dark as possible and this app allows me to make it even darker than the phone settings allow. I've been using it for over 5 years and wont switch as long as it keeps being the way it is now.
This is the best "get some damn sleep" app around. I have mine set super red and LOVE IT. Been using it for several years and aside from a short period where my drop menu wasn't under its fantastic spell, it is absolutely perfect. I even sprung for the Pro version to support the creators since it's been such a lifesaver.
Relieves my eyes so much, especially since I am recovering from a head injury. Light sensitivity in the evenings has made default light settings on Android phones too intense for me. Twilight comes through and gives more control to us to modify the colour and intensity of the screen. One suggestion I would make is to update to cover phone screens that go beyond the standard rectangular screen size.
Used for years on an old LG and loved it. Bought pro version. Battery-friendly, great red filter color. Unfortunately when I installed it on my current phone- a Moto X- I ran into two issues: 1. literally no way to close the program: pause button pauses filter while program runs, but the 'stop' button in the main app sends you to system settings and there is no way to keep it from running in the bg 24/7 2. causes games to lag and sometimes crash while running, even when filter overlay is off
Been using the free version every day for over a year now with no complaints so I figured forking out a few bucks for the full version is overdue. My only complaint was how it had weird issues interfering with screen overlays from others apps but either they fixed it or it's not an issue anymore with newer versions of android.
My night vision is so sensitive, I can see on moonless nights. Turning on my phone at night is literally painful. This app allows me to use my phone without adjusting my eyes, keeping my brain on the edge of sleep. Studies indicate our electronic devices disturb our circadian rhythm. But for me, my phone keeps my mind off the things that keep me awake. This app allows me to go back to sleep.
Great app, quite reliable and helps keep your circadian rhythm healthy. Rarely, it will randomly turn off or act strange but 99% of the time works perfectly. I paid for Pro to support the programmer, but the free version is very functional and has no ads.
I've had this app a long time. It works great. In the past month or so (?), if I put it on battery saver, the app becomes quirky. I can't turn it on or off without first having to go to the accessibility screen and tell it that Twilight is allowed. And it happens every time. A pain in the tucchus.
Been using it for a couple of years now, bought the pro version almost immediately, and use it nightly. Love it. Once in a while it will suddenly shut off for no apparent reason, leaving me blinded for a few seconds, but then it'll come back on in about a min. It's perfect for night reading in the dark at bedtime. Highly recommend it. Thanks Twilight for being one of the awesome apps that keeps updating, even after all this time! And, for keeping it simple!
Been using this app for years and it's the best one out there! I don't even think about it anymore, it seamlessly transitions in the mornings or evenings. Love that I can use the widget to pause it when my schedule is different than normal. The biggest downside (and loss of a star) is the fact that screenshots will be affected as well. May be a system limitation, but it is annoying to have to turn Twilight off, take the screenshot, then turn it back on.
