So here's my honest take on TWRA On the Go. I've tested a bunch of outdoorsy apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The core features like finding boat ramps and hunting areas work really well, and the ability to buy licenses right in the app is super convenient. The wildlife/photography section is a nice bonus too. The only downside is that the UI feels a little dated and can be tricky to navigate sometimes, but it's not a dealbreaker. If you spend a lot of time in the great outdoors in Tennessee, this is definitely worth checking out.

  • Detailed info on things like trout stocking, hunting seasons, and wildlife watching spots
  • Free to download and use

Cons

  • User interface feels a bit dated and clunky at times
  • Some features can be buried and not super intuitive to find
  • Could use more polish and streamlining in the overall design

Description

Been using TWRA On the Go for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you do all kinds of outdoorsy stuff right from your phone – things like finding boat ramps, hunting areas, fishing spots, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kinda thing.

Here’s what you can do: You can browse through all the different TWRA areas and see info on things like trout stocking schedules, hunting seasons, and boat registration. There’s also a feature where you can buy your licenses and permits straight from the app – saves you from having to go to the store. And if you’re looking to get some nature photos, the app’s got a section for watchable wildlife that gives you ideas on where to go.

Look, if you spend a lot of time outdoors in Tennessee, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re into hunting, fishing, or just exploring the great outdoors.
