Been using the UNC Health app for a couple months now. It’s basically a wayfinding and care access app for the UNC healthcare system. Kinda like Google Maps but for navigating UNC’s hospitals and clinics. Pretty solid if you’re a regular patient or visitor.
Here’s what you can do with it: there’s turn-by-turn navigation to guide you from the parking lot to the right clinic. And it’s got an option to see wait times at urgent cares so you can pick the one with the shortest line. And you can use it to find and book appointments with UNC providers – that’s super handy.
Look, if you go to UNC Health for appointments or have family there, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the navigation can be a little buggy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth downloading if you need to get around UNC’s campuses.

So here's my take on the UNC Health app. I've tested a bunch of medical and wayfinding apps, and this one's actually pretty good. The navigation feature works well most of the time, and I like how it integrates appointment booking and urgent care wait times. Definitely makes getting around UNC's facilities a lot easier. The only downsides are that the maps can be a little glitchy, and it might be overkill if you only go to UNC occasionally. But for frequent patients and visitors, this is a pretty useful app to have.

Love fact all UNC affiliates are included. REDUCES number of portals needed.
My scheduled appointment was nowhere to be found in the app, in-app link to MyChart goes 404. Wonderful facility, horrible app. Deleted.
