Updated my review to 6 stars because the January update resolved all the app unavailability issues. 30% of the time, Unest app cannot connect to the server. Today , Jan 21, 2021, the app errors with "This version of the application is no longer supported". So I uninstalled the app and reinstall stalled the app to no avail. I have a Samsung S20 plus. The latest and greatest Samsung phone to date.

I downloaded the app and opened accounts for my kids and they never started the deposits. So after months of nothing I emailed them saying I wanted everything closed out so I wouldn't get any random charges later. When I told them to close the account, THEN they started taking money from my account. I've contacted them again saying I wanted the accounts closed and the money refunded that wasn't supposed to been taken out and I've only received part of my money back and have to contact them again

After some problems with the app, I decided to close my account. I was supposed to get a confirmation email but did not. I have reached out to customer support with no answers. This app is a scam. I just want my money but now fear that I have lost it. Update: Erica reached out to me and was more than willing to help with my concerns. She explained they are a realtively new app and have had some growth. She was willing to listen to my user input. Had a negative look that is now positive.

I don't have anything bad to say about it at this point. I like the app it's appealing in appearance. You can withdraw from your child's money for the child's needs which I love. Other companies make offers as well that gets you child more money invested in their future. From this parent, I am thrilled to find something like this to help me plan for my child's future. Definitely Recommend!

Set up this app to buy stocks for my kids, 7 more kids and an auto investment and it worked like a charm. I have read other reviews about the app being clumsy and unauthorized working and am very worried but I have been using it for over a month and have not seen a single problem.

EDIT: issues were resolved quickly, and either a link for support was added or (more likely) i missed it the first time. Is there a way to see what equities are in the funds or a way to see historical performance of the fund? Were off to a great start here. I wish they were a little more forthcoming with the fees, but again. I may have overlooked it.

I made the mistake of signing up for this app thinking it was something different. Once I realized it was not what I thought it was I tried to close it but they give absolutely no way to close it yourself or to remove your bank info as well as your personal information. I had to send a message to support to ask for my acct to be closed but after seeing many reviews stating support does not respond that they take your money I am not very concerned. Do not use this app, these reviews are fake.

I asked to cancel my account. I got an email asking to explain why and 2 separate times i did explain why and still asked to closed the account. Thinking it got closed looked at my bank this morning and they still pulled out the money causing my account to overdraft which not only cost me $30 more dollars, but i had to transfer money from another account costing me another $10.

So I wanted to update my review becausee I did have some issues last year with getting into the app and updating it. The Unest support team was really fantastic and promptly responded to my issue. Since then I've had absolutely no issue with accessing my account! Unest I a great option for me to save for my son's future and they offer so many different ways to contribute to my sons account other than my own contributions each month!

Well so far I'm not having a good experience. I set my accounts for my 3 kids. This morning I had a bank notification that a transfer had been made. I logged in to see which kid the payment went to but none of the accounts are showing. I just get a spinning circle that says please wait. I've restarted the app, restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing works

In contact with support, hopefully they get back to me...but the app has frozen on me while doing a one time deposit and now I have doubled what I wanted to put into the account, which I can't have that happen. I have 6 grandkids I am trying to invest in so hopefully they can get back to me on how I can resolve this issue other, than that it seems like a great idea. Will give more stars once issue is resolved.

I know what it is like to graduate with a mountain of student debt and I don't want that for my 3 boys. I couldn't wait for this app to be made for android users. Now I can easily save for each of my kids and it is so easy to have others contribute to their plans. The app is easy to use and visually appealing. I did have an issue entering my correct birth date but it was easily resolved within 24 hours by their tech support. I would totally recommend this app.

Something isn't right about this company! I've requested to close my account 3 times and I still don't have my money back and the accounts are still active! Yes it's been way past 10 to 15 business days which is the time in which they're supposed to take to cancel accounts! I tried emailing and calling them, leaving messages and they responded by email asking me to stay and offering me $25 in each account to keep them open. I'm livid! I want to sue them at this point! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS APP!!

Been with them for 8 months. They've invested 3 months but collected their fee every month. They take weeks to respond with solutions that don't happen. Garbage company and we're going elsewhere. Positive reviews have to be fake. Every month it shows a pending withdrawal AND I get a trade confirmation email. Every month, no money is invested. Also when you click the emails to see statements and trade confirmation it takes you to the app with none of this information.

I do not recommend. Just go through the hassle of setting accounts up yourself. These guys charge a huge rate, plus they are very good at losing money. In one account, they have recieved $250 in investment + $60 in fees (notice how their fees are more than 20% of what is invested) - and the account has lost around $61 overall which is more than a 20% loss. So for a total cost of $310, they are holding $180 for me... You would be better off with your own accounts and $SPY or just use savings

you can do this yourself without paying a monthly fee each month and being restricted and penalized from taxes. I didn't like it. when I tried to cancel and close my account they give you the run around. It's been over a month and my account is still open. I get email asking why?, but they wont give $$ back or close account. beware...

EDIT: I received a response from them. Hopefully we'll get some more options down the future on customizing the investments. I'll be back. They make closing this app dang near impossible. They don't respond to account closing requests. The interface is nice got those that want a more 'hands off' approach. But I like to choose the investments for my kids. So I requested to close the account over a week ago. Still no response. Getting to a point where I may have to change my checking account #.

I really, really love and appreciate this app.... I set up an account with the intention of accumulating savings for my daughter... Funds are pretty tight. literally paycheck to paycheck- so it's not easy to put back money .... But the beauty of this app is that it autodrafts a little bit from all of my deposits (on a basis I prescheduled).. I have already accumulated a couple hundred dollars in a few months time, effortlessly. By the time she is able to access it, it's gonna be racks on racks!!

I wish we could navigate the app and see how we like it before jumping into creating an account and giving personal info. The way it's set up atm makes you feel trapped/locked in......you have to continue w the account set up before being able to do anything. Also, I ended up having to close my account due to the minimum monthly amount being outside my budget. If we could adjust that to any amount then I'd reinstall. I also wish we could earn points/money somehow (the way other apps do)
