very handy system, allows access using card, pin, app, remote unlocking. easy to control access and monitor usage.
Reviews for UniFi Identity Endpoint
← Back to UniFi Identity EndpointEDITED to clarify I don't use the Mobile Button option. Given that there are buildings where you cannot get GPS signal; and given that I only use NFC and no bluetooth, it is a waste on battery and a privacy threat that you mandate those for all users.
Privacy invasion. The app mandates location access to unlock doors, even though there are places where phone can't get location, and it works even if you are in another country (I tried with fake GPS app). So there is no point in requesting this permission unless spying is the purpose.
required to use at work, it would be nice if there was a smart watch app so I didn't have to pull out my phone each time.
Update: Ubiquiti hasn't done much to improve this product. went back to Synology. Avoid this product, pure alpha level of product maturity. Anyone want one cheap?
Rather poor. It takes 30 times on average to connect to my cameras.
I don't have to do much with this app besides open the door to work, but it's a very bloated app for that. 167mb for one button, but I'm required to have it installed for work.
works good if you have one credential, but if you try to add a second, it will not work. EDIT: Identity wasn't fully setup on the second controller. Once I did that, everything was fine. Sorry.
Simple setup and easy connectivity.
it's nice to have easy access to the door with my phone. very convenient.
I pay for a UK UniFi Talk subscription and don't have the Softphone option. That's nuts. I don't want to be a second class citizen when it comes to features I'm paying for like someone in the USA. Please offer the Softphone to UK Talk Subscribers. Also, Android has offered app shortcuts for ever (when you press and hold the app icon and have a list of quick launch actions). Why don't you guys put the options available for the user there? Better yet, make some widgets!! Thanks.
very glitchy, frame rate is horrible. you can't even see with clarity
Very Buggy, it is precarious. if it worked it will be great but as soon as it launch and you try access share it shutdown. I'm using a Samsung S25 Ultra, I have uninstall and reinstalled the App and I get the same result. I get an error message saying something went wrong try updating the App. The os is Android version 15 and One UI 7.
The app is good but for some reason the nfc using my phone only works 50% of the time and it's random, 50% of time the card reader just says "invalid credentials" besides that works very good. Also pleade need an app for wear os pls for my glaxy watch it will make life soo better
This app Sucks because I did everything that it asked me to do and I stand in front of it to use it it tells me no permission with the facial recognition. what's up with that? It's been installed for two or three months . I've installed and installed five times installed my facial image. It's should have been working right from day one.
Wish everything could be on one page instead of switching sites, and also that I could just login instead of having to get a link for a site when I already have Identity set up for my account.
- Only US (English) alphabet in display. - Tiny fonts in the door display, but large picture. Should be opposite. - Only 1 page user manual, no listing of what to do after installation i.e. when something is not working. - My phone is silent when guest call me from display, I have enabled ringtone.
The softphone portion of the app could use adding contacts and contact management. This needs to be controlled on the service side if users are not allowed to add contacts. Likewise, user contacts should save back to the service/user account not just stay on phone app while keeping global contacts (exists). I do like the more secure feel and the ease of use from an admin perspective of onboarding users. This is an excellent companion app to the stock self-hosted unifi services.
Been over a year and still haven't fixed onboarding an android device with remote access disabled, if you were stupid enough line me to turn it on temporarily for the AI detection. NFC unlock is not reliable on Samsung. iOS devices work with remote access disabled. same controller, even same account (or different).
This app works really good with securing the access to my EV charging station. Game changer. I am not happy with how sharing surveillance camera access is too basic. I am able to share the cameras I what and with whomever. So far I can not let those with shared cameras se anything other than live feed. It is useless because they can not see any of the recorded content. They also can not control the PTZ. I hope to find out that it is just me and I missed a setting or configuration.
