This app empowers the Unistellar telescope which is amazing. The auto alignment is almost magical and the views are incredible. My 20″ scope is not able to show what this 4.5″ scope gives me, it’s incredible and still being built upon! I can’t wait for the API, but the most important features all work great!

Does the job of controlling my eVscope reliably, on my Android phone, as does the marching IOS App for my iPad. Game changing scope that I use more than any other scope I’ve had over 50 years of this hobby. Could always do with minor improvements but I’m happy with it. Shame reviews pages attract […]
Terrible. It says it is 100x times better when it isn’t. It rounds up from their calculations. Their api is still not avaliable. They refuse to make a camera adapter. “The experience we are designing is an all-in-one digital telescope, this is how we can achieve both ease of use and optical power, as of […]
Takes a while to get used to it, but works ok on most androids, nevertheless still inferior to iOS. Worst is the WiFi connection that goes up and down easily. Also negative the point that we can not free up telescope memory from the app when it’s the main interface with the device
Cool app, has some nice features. Would be 4 stars if it would allow you to looks ahead to the future so you could plan ahead. Would be 5 stars if it world let you see a list of all objects and list when they would be best visible in your area.
Revised: After a reinstall on my Android phone (still 1st night with new eVscope) app worked with scope, the key being the appearance of the blue telescope icon when the catalog is showing. Tap the icon and you’re Wifi’d to control the eVscope. Despite near full moon and cloudy conditions, several pictures with some color […]
I am owner of an evscope. I don’t like DEEP DARK TECHNOLOGY (DDT) There should be a software downgrade option. I don’t like AI tweaking the images. I can’t be sure anymore that the final images are real. Even on their site, if you read carefully the expressions they use, their answer is ambiguous. I […]
Newest version 1.3 is superb. Works well on Apple and Android. Vastly improves on image quality at the eyepiece and final tablet images. Also many bugs are now non-existent. The eVscope is my favorite possession. Older info: App is excellent but they are working out a few intermittent bugs. The app seems to work far […]
Unusable- when app doesn’t crash, field detection fails (on clear nights) every time. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. (Galaxy note10) location settings not accurate either – ex: I can see the moon but app says it’s not in my viewing window for another 12 or so hours! Not what I expected to get for […]
I bought an eQuinox. I followed the setup instructions and the app doesn’t recognize the telescope, even if I tap on and connect to the telescopes local WiFi network. I guess there’s a mismatch between the old telescope and the new app. Edit: I fixed my problem by downloading the older apk and using that […]
I have never rated one single app out of the hundreds I’ve used over the years and many I’ve been very happy with, however with the speedy response and great customer support being the goal of this company I feel the need to let whoever it may concern know that no matter the issue or […]
Definitely needs a mosaic mode and the ability to save raw images but the telescope and this app are amazing very easy to use mosaic mode and raw images would bring it to 5 stars and possibly the best smart telescope on the market, would just be a quality of life upgrade at this point. […]
For public outreach I cast to a smart TV from my Galaxy phone, it’s been a real hit. I’ve been at this for 50 years and this is the biggest thing to hit this hobby in a long time. By far the biggest thing for public outreach. Several things would add to the experience: local […]
Use this several times a month for public star parties. Good companion to visual scope I also use at the same time. I used to use a Google Chromebook with a 17 in monitor for the public to see some amazing objects but the recent app update downgraded the chromebook so it no longer works […]
I have not yet managed to get this scope to work. Whenever I open the app, it crashes as soon as I hit the target seeking button (or whatever it’s called; it crashes as soon as I hit it.) Unusable. Waste of money and profoundly frustrating.
The app is intuitive, simple and easy to navigate. However it was laggin in making WIFI connection. The wifi connection drop unexpectively a few times during one observation. APP info was not clearly indicate that it needs a GPS/Celluar model. Tablet with A-GPS, GLONASS is not compatible with the app. The storage is not cleared […]
Version 1.4.1 The evscope provides in a few minutes quite impressive pictures of nebulae and galaxies even in a big city. Despite regular updates, there’s stil connectivity issues (eg. Operator/watcher, connectivity drops). It would nice to be able to download raw data of the pictures for postprocessing instead of compressed pictures. Also, why don’t give […]
The new version 2.0.1 works quite well, but a first-use tutorial is needed. The features of the earlier version are there, although sometimes difficult to find. For example, to input a location using RA/Dec, you must go to the scope view screen, click the ‘Move’ button, and then click on the tiny compass icon in […]
for such an expensive telescope. it does not stay connected to app, so you keep losing everything, it will stay connected for up to 15minutes sometimes,.then just drops out, all imagery lost, and must restart Odyssey and app to get a connection again.
The app is for the #eVscope telescope and works great! The screen view is just like the scope view. Looking forward to maybe being able to adjust exposure and gain in enhanced mode in the future. Right now you can’t. The scope goto and tracking works perfectly. This is a fine all in one telescope […]
