So here's my honest take on Universal TV Remote Control. I've tried a bunch of similar remote apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The setup is easy, the controls work well, and it's compatible with tons of TVs. And it's not the prettiest app but it gets the job done. Comes in handy when I can't find my actual remote. The voice commands are a nice touch too, though they can be a bit finicky. For a free app, it's worth downloading if you need a backup TV remote.

Description

I’ve been using the Universal TV Remote Control app for a couple months now. It’s basically a smart remote that lets you control your TV from your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re always misplacing your actual TV remote.

Here’s what you can do – there’s a big library of TV models so you can find your exact brand. Just point your phone at the TV and it works like a normal remote. And it’s got all the basic controls like volume, channel, power, etc. And there’s some nifty advanced features too, like being able to use voice commands to change the channel or turn on subtitles. Took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re constantly losing your TV remote, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the connection can be a bit spotty sometimes and the interface is a little cluttered. But overall it does the job and it’s free, so worth checking out.

Unusable because of the ads, sorry. I initially didn't believe the other reviews, but oh wow -- this app is ridiculous. Have to watch an ad on literally every button...
