I’ve been using Universal TV Remote Control for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your TV with your phone. Pretty solid if you’re tired of losing your actual remote.

So here's my take on Universal TV Remote Control. I've tried out a bunch of these TV remote apps and this one's one of the better ones in my experience. It's got all the core features you'd expect, plus some nice extras like the voice controls. The interface is clean and intuitive, which is key for an app like this. My only real gripe is that it can be a pain to get it set up, especially if you've got an older TV. But once it's working, it's a pretty reliable way to ditch the actual remote.
