So here's my honest take on Universal TV Remote Control. I've tested a bunch of universal remote apps and this one's one of the better ones. It's got all the basic features you'd expect, plus some nice extras like voice controls and customization. The setup can be a little tricky at first, but once it's connected it works pretty reliably. Compared to the stock TV remotes, I'd say this is a big upgrade in terms of convenience. Only real downside is the occasional connectivity issues, but that's the case with most Bluetooth-enabled apps. Overall, a solid option if you're sick of losing your TV remote.

Description

Been using the Universal TV Remote Control app for a couple months now. It’s basically an all-in-one remote that lets you control your Roku, Samsung, LG, Sony, and pretty much any other TV brand right from your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re always losing the actual remote around the house.

Here’s what you do: you can pair the app with your TV via WiFi or Bluetooth and then use your phone to change channels, adjust the volume, and even navigate smart TV menus. There’s also voice controls, which is pretty cool. And you can set up custom button layouts – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’ve got a bunch of different TVs in your home, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit finicky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re tired of juggling a million remotes.
