Description
I’ve been using US Public Lands for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that shows you all the public land owned by the US government – like national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re into maps and the great outdoors.
Here’s what you can do: you can browse the different types of public land and see the boundaries on a map. There’s also a search feature which is really handy. And you can save your favorite spots – took me a while to figure that out but it’s a useful feature.
Look, if you like exploring nature and planning outdoor adventures, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want an easy way to see what public lands are near you.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on US Public Lands. I've tested a bunch of map and outdoor apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The ability to see all the different public land boundaries in one place is super useful, and the map interface is easy to navigate. And it's not the prettiest app out there, but it's functional. My main gripe is that some of the features feel a bit buried and not super intuitive at first. But once you get the hang of it, it's a really handy tool to have, especially if you like to hike, camp, or just explore new natural areas.
