Works perfectly with my Behringer X Air XR18 and Google Pixel 2. I wish I knew about this way sooner...It would have made recording live shows a breeze compared to setting up someone's expensive laptop. I really wish that it recorded in mono instead of stereo but realize that might work the Android system harder. It's not a big deal separating the tracks in reaper. Being able to record 8 stereo tracks into an old phone is pretty remarkable. Not enough people in the music scene know about this...

Nice app. I like that it works with my RME Babyface. I wish it had ability to a layer and monitor option like a full daw. I do have a question though: On audio outputs, it gives me the xlr outputs from the interface. Is there any way to get the audio to go out to the headphone jack instead?

This app allowed my usb soundcard the Behringer uca222 to work on my motorola G5 phone, before i bought this app my recordings had glitches/skipping, but recording with this app there are no glitches/skipping. I just wish the developers could make a driver you installed on phone and it worked with any app so i could do live Dj streams on facebook, because when i live stream on facebook i get the audio glitches/skip. I would pay £20 for a usb audio driver like this one to work on facebook live.

It works... Mostly, but stops randomly At around 1 minutes and 10 seconds in, on a newer Android the note 10, the app freezes while recording through usb mic, if I'm reading off a Google doc. I haven't reproduced this with other apps, but it's really annoying and I'm not sure what the solution is or where the problem comes from

I'm using this app to record on the go with a DIY stereo binaural microphone connected to a USB adapter made by Boya (BY-K4, 48kHz 16 bit ADC). No other Android app until this one allowed me to optimally set the input level on loud signals in order to avoid clipping. Stereo small and portable soundcards are rare; another one is ADA-17 (Axagon, 44.1kHz 24 bit recording) and prior buying this app I tested it without success on many smartphones (it worked only on Windows). Now it's working fine!

Tried and tested quite a few USB audio recorders which just did not work. I wanted something that i could connect to my Denon DJ X1800 Mixer for recording my sets, and this works flawlessly but there are a few things i would love to see incorporated into the build. The ability to save default settings that you use, each time i connect my Phone to my mixer i need to ensure that i select Channels 9&10 which are the recording channels by default, if i forget to set this in the I/O tab then i will essentially record nothing. Audio signal trigger for recording purposes, similar to what you would see in Audacity where it receives the audio signal and automatically starts recording, very useful feture. Lastly, the app showing as full screen, even though my Samsung S8+ is apparently allowing the app to be full screen, i still have the nav buttons showing on the screen. I would give 5 stars, but the lack of a save option for your settings alone drops one star.

This app works good, and the Audio sounds GREAT! 👍 I am using a Zoom U-24, and it sounds great! I cannot complain. I have one problem withf it, though: I haven't been able to use my SD card to save my audio. I'm not complaining, but this is the truth. Could you please fix it? It's a very important feature for me. Thank you!

I can confirm this works with the audio interface from behringer (u-phoria umc22). Question: Would it be possible to record from the Android device itself (let's say from Spotify) AND from the audio interface as well? Intended use case: Play track via Spotify and play drums (which is recorded via microphone plugged in into the audio interface). Thanks in advance!

Attempted with an Audio Technica USB turntable. Wasn't able to adjust gain on the input but was able to record in stereo. Since I can't use all the features with my equipment I've returned the app. I'm certain it will work with USB audio interfaces and I'm just an outlier with niche gear and a specific use case.

i I got this app. while it records from my Mackie Profx8 mixer through USB into my S9 Plus Samsung Gakaxy phone, however when I play on my phone, the volume of the sound is very low. I am not sure why the playback when I hear (without connecting to any blue tooth device) has very low volume ??? If I share my recodings with Freinds and family, they are also not able to hear the way they are used to listening to any normal app ( after making the volume to the maximum) let me know a solution

Fantastic app support, sent an email and got a reply within minutes, a few emails back and forth and he figured it out and fixed it for me. It was me using an OTG mini usb to micro usb cable but then my micro usb to usb c adaptor wasn't OTG so it didn't work! Ordered the right cable and works perfectly. Fantastic response, very knowledgeable and patient creator and fantastic app does exactly what I want it to now on a Samsung A70 with Samson GO mic. Highly recommend.

operation is simple and efficient. I'm using a UR22 mkII sand the audio quality is superb. I initially gave it 4 stars, lamenting the fact that it couldn't play back without a USB device connected, but this turned out to be an error in my part. It can playback locally on the Android. Although for $6, I do wish the UX was slicker.

Really having a hard time with this software. I'm not going to rate it until I hear from the developers to see if there is a workaround or to learn definitively that the software simply won't function as intended by me. (Ugh, I can't submit without a rating, so I'll give it a 2 for the moment.) I'm using a Galaxy S21 and a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle to connect with my microphones - condenser, shotgun, binaural, and a couple of tiny weeny things. I can't get any input whatsoever into the recorder! I do get an 'initialized' notification, but when I try to record it says 'no input channel.' Is this software only meant to be used with a preamp? I wanted to use my phone as a simple field recorder without taking along any other accessories, which is what I thought I could do with it. Anyhoo, before you ask, YES, I can record into other audio software with the same setup, so there is definitely some incompatibility of some sort going on here.

One of the best audio apps available for Android. I've used this to record my DJ mixes for the past few years using a variety of Motorola android phones, and Amazon fire tablets, combined with my Behringer UCA-222 sound card. Worked like a charm and easily portable for when you're out and about. Totally recommended.

I typically use this app to record 7 mics at once from my behringer umc interface. 96000 sample rate, 24 bit, 7 lines, 0 issues. It's easier to set up a laptop of course, not having to bring a laptop is really nice. The app can record with the screen off, and will use very little battery while doing so. I saw a loss of around 5% per hour. Record in flac, and you can go a few hours before having to stop and restart recording. The app will split files at 2GB.

I've been using this app alongside a simple digital usb capture card for over a year to record my DJ sets. This app supports high quality 48kHz & 24bit stereo input. Super convenient, now i dont need to hunk around a tascam everywhere i go...just a cheap android phone and a mirco usb OTG cable. Superb! Also very quick to respond to inquiries and suggestions! Thanks a million!

I am using this with a Rode wireless Go II and a pocophone F1 and it works really well. The Rode transmitters keep a local recording all the time and I have compared this to the wav files recorded by the app and they are identical quality and volume. It is a great boon to have identical local recordings which can be dropped into the stereo mix without any processing being required at all when one of the transmitters have glitched on a vocal - which they are prone to if line of sight is blocked by a passer by or clumsy assistant. The interface is a triumph of function over form. Very easy to use and very clear to check something is being recorded - it is not beautiful true but it is instinctively useable and robust. The meters are to a scale I don't quite follow - quite loud recordings at 18 db continual peak show as very quiet according to the scale bars - this isn't a complaint its nice to check there is input, maybe you can configure the scale but I haven't found it. If your usb interface doesn't have a battery facility and needs the usb to draw power you are going to need a suitable OTG cable which allows power to be injected from a usb powerbank. These can be identified because they have three connectors, one for the phone, one for the audio interface and one to plug into the powerbank usb. This is discussed on the developers website. Not having the correct cable is going to degrade your user experience so you need to be careful about the quality and correct configuration of this cable. This is a pro quality app which does a great job in adding a convenient field recording function to a usb interface for the price of gin and tonic. With the Rode wireless Go ii I have a two channel wireless field recorder of exceptional quality that can be slipped into a pocket.

This, and Audio Evolution Mobile are hands down the best apps for recording on Android. This is great for quick capture of ideas. A few changes to this app I would like: MUCH larger transport buttons. More options to customize the file naming format. For example: "Year_MonthDay_##". Also MP3 files. Now that the copyright has expired, more integration of that format makes sense for both apps. Regardless of any such changes, I'll be using this app for a long time to come.

Great app with the eXtream USB driver which also becomes available in the Audio Evolution DAW. I am using a cheap Behringer U-Control UCA222 audio to usb adapter on a Samsung A52s, works brilliantly. Edit: Thanks for the quick response, MON, how did I not see that? DOH! Just one thing, can I see the audio level meters moving without having to be recording ? because at the moment I can't.

This is the only app I've been able to use the Samson Q2U USB microphone with. I've tried a handful. The microphone's built in live zero latency monitoring works also, and it allows you to independently control gain and monitoring volume from within the app. The only thing that doesn't work properly is that I can only record the audio as stereo, despite it being a mono microphone. I'm unable to change the selection despite the option existing in the menu.
