Description
Been using USB Camera for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you use your phone or tablet as a webcam for your computer. Pretty solid if you’re into streaming, video conferencing, or just want a cheap way to get a webcam.
Here’s what you can do with it: You can connect your phone to your PC over USB and it’ll work as a plug-and-play webcam. There’s also an option to stream video over WiFi, which is handy. And it’s got support for 4K video and different video codecs – took me a while to figure out all the settings but it’s pretty powerful once you get it set up.
Look, if you need a webcam for your computer and don’t want to spend a ton, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the UI is a bit clunky and the free version has ads – but overall it does the job. I’d say it’s a good option if you’re on a budget.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on USB Camera. I've tested a bunch of webcam and video apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The video quality is great, especially if you've got a newer phone, and the features like RTSP streaming and picture-in-picture are really useful. But the UI can be confusing to navigate at first and the free version has some annoying ads. If you don't mind tinkering with the settings, I think it's a good budget-friendly option compared to buying a dedicated webcam.
