So here's my honest take on USB Endoscope Camera. I've tested a bunch of these inspection/camera apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The core functionality works really well - I was able to connect all sorts of USB cameras and endoscopes without any issues. The video quality is decent, definitely good enough for basic inspection work. But it's not gonna replace a professional-grade borescope or anything. In my experience, it can be a bit finicky to set up and the app has crashed on me a few times. But for the price (it's free), it's a pretty useful tool to have around.

Pros

  • Tons of compatibility with different USB cameras and endoscopes
  • Easy to use - just plug in and the app works
  • Decent video and photo quality for the price (it's free!)
  • Handy for inspecting small spaces, damaged parts, etc.

Cons

  • Can be a bit tricky to get everything set up right
  • Video quality isn't amazing, not for professional use
  • App crashes occasionally, not the most stable
  • Limited advanced features compared to more expensive options

Description

Been using USB Endoscope Camera for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you use an external camera, like a borescope or microscope, with your Android phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you just plug in the camera via the USB port and the app lets you view the live video feed, take photos, and even record videos. There’s also a bunch of settings to adjust the image quality and other stuff. And it worked pretty well with the different cameras I tried – took me a while to figure out the controls but it’s not too complicated.

Look, if you’re into inspecting small spaces, checking out damaged stuff, or just playing around with microscopes, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the video quality can be a bit iffy sometimes and the app crashes on me every now and then – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need an inspection camera on the go.
