Description
Been using UV Index – Tan Widget for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you track the UV index wherever you are so you can avoid getting sunburned. Pretty solid app if you’re into health and wellness stuff.
Here’s what you do: you can choose your skin type based on the Fitzpatrick scale, and it’ll give you personalized sun exposure info. There’s also a widget you can put on your home screen to see the UV index at a glance. And you can set alerts to remind you to reapply sunscreen or seek shade when the UV gets high.
Look, if you spend a lot of time outdoors, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the weather forecasts can be a bit off sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on UV Index - Tan Widget. I've tested a bunch of health/fitness apps and this one's one of the better ones I've tried. The personalized sun exposure info is really useful, and the widget is super convenient. And doesn't have a ton of extra features, but it nails the core functionality. Only real downside is the occasional weather inaccuracy, but that's not a dealbreaker. If you're looking to stay safe in the sun, this is a pretty solid option.
