Been using Valley Metro for a couple months now. It’s basically a transit app for the Phoenix area. Pretty solid if you need to get around the city.
Here’s what you do: you can load up your account, scan the QR code every time you ride, and the more you use it the more you save. There’s also trip planning – just punch in where you wanna go and it’ll give you step-by-step directions. And you can see where your bus or train is in real-time, which is super handy.
Look, if you take the bus or light rail a lot, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need a transit companion.

So here's my honest take on Valley Metro. I've tested a bunch of transit apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The smart fare system is really convenient - no more fumbling for cash or trying to figure out the right pass. And the trip planning works well, makes getting around a lot easier. On the downside, the app can be a bit glitchy sometimes and the UI isn't the most intuitive. But those are minor issues. If you need a go-to app for buses and light rail in Phoenix, this is definitely worth downloading.
