Useless, won't show current position. In addition, Google supports scam. App is not working as described, uninstalled instantly, no refund from Google - "this purchase doesn't meet with our policy." Think twice before buying a subscription for this app!
Reviews for Vessel Tracking - Ship Radar
← Back to Vessel Tracking - Ship RadarPlease add a option to set your location. Every time I open the app it puts me in a different country. It's super accurate and nice, but as someone who needs to keep track of vessels it's kind of annoying to try and find my exact location every time.
Purchased the one time purchase option and now I am unable to view the details of any ship as it says that I need a strong connection no matter how many different strong connections I have. It worked before the purchase, but now it doesn't.
Waste of money, stopped showing ship details, won't show my fleet details, doesn't open to my location. How do you get a refund. And don't expect to get a reply when you email. *Update* Raised to two star as app didn't work for me, email answered and a full refund received.
Wanted me to rate before app even opened, well here it is. Quite disappointing. Didn't show where the ship was but did give approx co-ords. Wanted me to Unlock features, why would I spend the money if I don't know the app is going to give me correct info. 1 click away from deletion.
Paid for subscription, now when opening app it's out of date and recommends upgrading to the new app. The new app doesn't appear to exist as when hitting the link you're informed 'No internet connection' despite having full connection. Unable to update app to make it work. Obviously cancelled the re-subscription. USELESS
Terrible app! Wanted to identify vessels nearby, but it appears i need to list a ship, and then it tells me where it is. Expected the app to use GPS for location and then all vessels. Worse yet, Google won't refund the year fee I had to pay! Stay away from this one!!
Really poor app. Very hit and miss in terms of functionality. Sometimes it will show details of a vessel. At other times it won't show details for the same vessel. Gives an option to search for a port, but then fails to recognise the port. Don't waste your money. It's useless.
Absolute junk, waste of 18$ (I paid the year sub). No way to set live radar default view, no way to search in live radar, location data very innaccurate, get better location data from free sites by doing a search for the ship. Ship in "my fleet" goes null and repopulates sporadically.
When I open the app my screen is completely black. When I enter a port it will not accept. It. Keeps defaulting to the Panama canal area it appears. Very difficult to find the track and the ship as when you enter the ship's name it just shows a picture of the ship but no tracking.
really disappointed by this app and kicking myself I paid for a year's subscription without reading the reviews. According to this app, the ship I am following has not moved in a week! In reality it has almost sailed down the whole eastern coast of the continent of Africa !! Soooo mad that I wasted my money on this.
Rubbish app, can't search for vessels (says they don't exist) ones it does find can't click on it and go to live map, added favourite port and shows vessels in port but can't click on any of them to show where they are in port or their details. Payed for the upgrade thinking that's why it's rubbish and still the same, Google refunded luckily and app uninstalled as totally useless.
I'm very disappointed. In fact, I'm feeling cheated by the developer. The app works fine, but it didn't bring the results as promised. I'm testing the live tracking of a cargo vessel that shows it at the same point, which is not. Another reliable app that I use shows its GPS position correctly. So, be aware of downloading it and paying the subscription.
Great app. You can track your favourite cruise ship.
I've used this before but lost the app on new phone. Reinstalling so I can track the ships on the south coast. Great fun and educational for my grandsons. 😉
So I'm tracking carnival adventure a passenger ship it started well and then it disappeared from radar so I thought it's an upsell ok I'll buy a month and it's still never turned up, it's somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. It allowed me access to see the carnival adventure ship but oh no it's not the right ship it's actually showing me carnival princess obviously this app's been put together at someone's primary School, do I get my money back. If it's corrected I'll do five stars.
really a great app. you can see ships and boats you never realized were on the water. Used it during a cruise and it really enhanced the trip because you could tell your location and the different country's land masses and better predict when you may arrive at port. For example we were returning to Southampton and realized with the app we were passing by Normandy and could see the cliffs that would be seen by soldiers during WWII.
I've been so stupid for paying for a years subscription.....soooo many things are wrong!! Now is a classic example....I'm sat at Albert Docks in Liverpool and can see a Stena Line passenger ferry. I can see the engines have fired up, so looked on the app to when it will depart and it comes up with a container ship with zero information at all! Also, trying to find a port is difficult, it won't let me track the Queen Mary 2 for some reason and it doesn't show your location on the map.
The app says there's a free version but it's completely useless, it isn't in realtime or even close to realtime. Any ship information is "locked" unless you get a paid subscription. The map will show the ship but it's hours behind, for example a cruise ship left Port Canaveral this afternoon and almost five hours later it still shows as being in port. I can't see paying for a subscription if you can't provide current information.
Once it shows my vessel, on the map it's only about 1,5 days behind on the actual position. On the big map, it always shows Gibraltar, no option to show my present position. So far a very disappointing app. Right after installation without having any chance to use it, it already asked for reviews. I signed up for the 1 year deal since it looked like the best deal, I totally regret it and there is no way back. My own fault.
