Been using the Vivint app for a couple months now. It’s basically a home security and smart home control app. Pretty solid if you’re into managing your place from your phone.
Here’s what you can do – you can arm or disarm your security system, control your lights and thermostat, and even see and talk to visitors through the video doorbell. There’s also a cool feature where you can unlock the door for guests even when you’re not home. Took me a while to figure that one out but it’s super useful.
Look, if you’ve got a bunch of smart home tech, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit confusing at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to control your whole house from your phone.

So here's my take on Vivint. I've tested a bunch of home security and smart home apps, and this one's actually pretty solid. The app is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and the features like video doorbell and remote control are really convenient. But there are a few downsides - the setup can be a bit of a headache, and some of the advanced features aren't quite intuitive. Overall though, it's a good option if you want to manage your whole home from your phone.
