So here's my take on Voice Tools. I've tested a bunch of voice and speech apps, and this one's pretty solid. The pitch analysis is surprisingly accurate, at least when using an external mic. It gives you a good visual of where your voice is at. The sentence and tone practice features are really useful too. But it's not without its flaws - the built-in mic struggled with background noise. And some of the voice samples could use better quality. Overall though, I'd say it's a great tool if you're working on your voice.

Description

Been using Voice Tools for a couple months now. It’s basically a voice therapy app that helps transgender and non-binary folks work on their voice. There’s a bunch of cool features – you can see a real-time graph of your voice pitch, read practice sentences, and even listen to tones to mimic. The voice analysis works best with an external mic, but it’ll work without one too.

Here’s what you do: you can record your voice and it’ll show you how your pitch is doing. There’s also a section with pre-written sentences to read out loud, which is useful for practice. And it’s got a feature where you can listen to sample tones at different pitches – really handy for trying to hit those targets.

Look, if you’re working on your voice, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the mic on my phone picked up a lot of background noise – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need a tool for voice therapy.

Generally pretty good, although some times after analysing a voice recording, ads will pop up (which is fair, since the app is free) and after closing the ads you can't...
