So here's my take on Vyke: Second Phone/2nd Line. I've tested a bunch of these types of communication apps and this one's pretty solid. The ability to get multiple numbers in one app is really convenient, and the free calls/chat to other users is a nice bonus. The low-cost international calling is also great if you travel a lot. But it does have some downsides - the interface can be a little confusing at first, and the free version has some annoying ads. Overall though, I'd say it's a pretty good option if you need a second line without having to get a whole new phone.

Pros

  • Tons of useful features packed into one app
  • Free calls and chat to other Vyke users
  • Low-cost international calling is great for travelers
  • Easy to set up multiple phone numbers
  • Works on just your regular phone, no need for a second device

Cons

  • Can be a bit confusing to navigate all the different options at first
  • Free version has some annoying ads
  • Upgrading to the paid version is required to avoid the ads
  • Might be overkill if you only need a second line occasionally

Description

Been using Vyke: Second Phone/2nd Line for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you get extra phone numbers for all kinds of stuff – online dating, selling online, traveling abroad, that kind of thing. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kinda thing.

Here’s what you do: You can get up to 4 different phone numbers through the app. There’s free calls and chat to other Vyke users, and low-cost calls and texts to regular phones. It combines the features of a messaging app with a bunch of other cool stuff. Took me a while to figure out all the different options but it’s pretty useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re someone who needs a second line for whatever reason, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Very reasonable price and super clear reception. The one confusing thing about the app is the dialing. The instructions aren't clear about that. If you enter a number one way,...
