After a few months, still no matches and 'Cloé' hasn't responded to my messages about issues with the app. I'm in the UK, and there are identically named towns with no county, so I don't know which one Is the right one, despite the app demanding 'location accuracy', which turns on Wi-Fi and drains battery. They want me to pay for 2nd chances to match, which is an unfair gamble as I don't know who liked me. Users seem genuine but can't recommend the app, it's just a money grab.
Reviews for Waiter: less dating, more love
First of all, why does it take so long to load up? For something that should be simple, it seems overly onerous. What is it actually doing? Secondly the implementation of the idea is ridiculous. You have to match with another that would also match with you. And you can't go back to find out who chose you. Unless you pay of course... But then you might as well just choose another app anyway. Deleted!
I like that it's sorta the opposite of a swipe based app in that you have to spend money to even see more people, so there's not so much pressure to spend it. Here are my two suggestions on improvements. 1. Some of the English text in this app is seriously lacking. Using the wrong "to" or "too", wrong pronouns in some spots, that sort of thing. 2. There should be a random chance that someone who was in your choices before that you didn't choose can return to your feed without paying.
Mostly bots the rest seem to be inactive. You get 3 picks a day at least ones a bot and it's obvious. The other 2 are likely unattractive or have a completely blank profile. You report the bots you don't get any more picks. It's a total waste of time. Been using this every day for over a month. I be I've liked about 10 and skipped every other day. 0 matches because no one actually uses it and they throw dead profiles and bots around to make it look like there's people to get you to pay.
In order to chat with someone FOR FREE, you have to match with them on first chance, or first sight. Which is a one in three chance, because if you like all 3 people but only one of them like you, you have a huge possibility of not getting to match with them, or even get to know them at all. This scenario happened to me. I had to use tips to match with them, because I like all 3 profiles but had to choose one. I ended up not being able to talk to her without premium. Like we couldn't see words.
Poor design and service at best. I have had this app installed for 5 days and have paid for six months premium before getting "No one in sight". After changing to criteria to Age: 18 to 99 years and Distance: 200km I was shocked to continue getting the message "No one in sight". Unfortunately due to this apps design I am unable to access the rest of the app because I'm stuck in an infinite loop of finding no matches, clicking back and being put back into a search again. Don't waste your time.
This app is such a scavenger for cash. You can't do anything unless you wanna pay. 10$ for direct messaging, 20$ at the minimum for tips (the only way you can talk to someone if you didn't select them as your first choice...), you only get 3 choices a day (3!?). I bought the tips just to say that I did attempt to navigate with them. The screen where it say "2 tips to discover who liked you"....doesnt work. this app is an honest to God waste of time and storage space.
Every time I try to get on it says "Connexion error" and I have to close and reopen the app for it to work. Got a new phone, forgot about this app for a few months, and when I decided to reinstall I'm still getting "Connexion Error". It's obvious the device don't care about this app. Dont waste time or money on it. There's no active profiles anyway
Cool idea in concept, but still has a cash-grab feel to it. The whole idea of the "second chance" is just another contrived way of hiding the dating lotery behind another paywall. Also the rating system doesn't seem to work. I keep getting more profiles that are in-complete, or are outside my preferences, that really are not a good match. Profiles should be required to fill out all info categories. Incomplete profiles make it impossible to gauge a potential match, especially with bad photos.
Terrible idea to show 3 people at once and you have to wait a day before you can pick another person. If you like all three you can only pick one. I don't have days and days to spend on the app. Throught a whole week you can pick a total of 7 people. What are the odds they will pick you too. Very very low. Wouldn't be surprised if it took you months or years to find a match. Of course you can pay but when you have multiple dating apps it adds up quickly. Dating apps in general are money hungry.
