A fun way to increase exercise in October! The social functions can use more work (like being able to "like" photos in Team Chat).
Reviews for Walktober
← Back to WalktoberWorked well on my first login, but I got logged out from an error and can not log back in. Resetting the password didn't work but sent 4 reset emails to me, none of which worked.
It is not logging my steps as of today (october 1) and is showing the message "logging will start on october 1). I have provided my country as IN. But I think it is still waiting for US time.
App is ok, but it's not very well formatted for devices with notches. Also, how in the world do you not support syncing with Google Fit?
Health Connect option isn't working, Doesn't Sync, just sits in my notification bar saying finishing...all day long until I have to force close the walktober app.
Cool app -- connection with Health connect on Android (in my case, to connect with Google Fit) does seem pretty buggy and runs continuously without finishing connecting.
Doesn't connect to android wearable devices. Haven't started the campaign yet but already find it sucky that I can't connect my galaxy watch...which leads to a lot of cheating from anyone using an android wearable device.
Won't sync with the Health Connect app. Seems to be a common issue that hasn't been resolved regardless of how many times people "reach out to customer service".
I have Google fit and it will not sync...it tells me that it is, but will not track my steps. The date is stuck on Oct 1. I tried to click on settings and the app crashes. I've Uninstaller and re installed.
It's my 2nd year using the app for fitness goals in community with others. I discovered many other features this year & had a blast reaching my goals along with the encouragement of friends.
Fun app. Friend works for Delta and invited me. Suggestion for improvement: add leaderboard filter for number of steps walked. I walk 20k steps on one day but don't extra leafs. Do leg day in gym and only get 5k steps. Basically, app shows in log I am a heavy walker, but not reflected in leaderboard due to leaf point structure. Sync with Fitbit is sometimes a little low.
Con It does not sync with Samsung People may over exaggerate their "steps" or activities manually. Pro For those who are honest, it is pretty neat to compare and push each other to get more steps in using this app. It can be fun.
Smartwatch sync doesn't work. I tried to add steps manually to try to fix the issue which shouldn't have happened in the first place and app says I can't edit old days. Yeah no, not dealing with this anymore. Obviously the block was programmed on purpose and I will not spend any more time trying to fix the unfixable on the user's end.
I am unable to log back into the app after updating it, as it has been a few years since I used it. I requested a password reset several times and never received the emails. I attempted to utilize the "Contact Us" form for assistance, and the form itself would not submit on multiple attempts. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the problem remains. There is no other option to remedy the situation. I should not have to try this hard. This is an utter failure.
Keeps crashing when I go to settings, and not accurately logging steps from my Fitbit. It keeps saying I have 618 steps, even though my Fitbit that's synced to the app shows me at 4,500 steps. Update: The app seems to be syncing steps accurately today; maybe there was just an overload for day 1. With that being said, the settings remains a problem.
Disappointed in the performance of the Walktober app, particularly its inability to sync data using Health Connect. The sync worked only once, and then it stopped working altogether after I overwrote the steps. Even after attempting to reinstall Health Connect, the problem persists. Although this issue doesn't make the app entirely unusable, it's a critical feature that should be functioning properly.
My steps do not sync, worked on ot for a half hour. Waisting my time.
App is now horribly slow. 30+ second load time each time you click on something.
Typing is terrible on the community pages. Can't use predictive text, and sometimes have to type the same letter multiple times to just type a single word. This can't be how this is intended to work.
Updating my initial rating. I've only used the app for 2 days now and ran into syncing issues on day 2 but it seemed more overall than just me. The Walktober team quickly acted and got it resolved within a few hours. I appreciate the attentiveness to the reported issue and the great communication. Otherwise, app is easy to use and navigate.
