Reviews for Walmart: Shopping & Savings

← Back to Walmart: Shopping & Savings

I wanted to put an order in, but when I went to My Lists, I was missing a few. It only says I have 2 Lists, but, it does not show them, and there's nothing to click on to bring them up. One of those lists had $700 worth of items I buy regularly. Some were recipes. I even went into the purchase history, and all my purchases are gone too. This is frustrating.

NEVER use Walmart for groceries if you're looking to cook at home. They rarely have everything they say it's in stock. Also, the fact that you cannot add an item in the cart when it's unavailable is beyond me when the item is available an hour later. The substitution options are limited to whatever the shopper decides. If you pick your own it doesn't matter. I always have to drive to King Kullen to get what's missing from my recipe and it's always something important. 2 stars because... Cheap

I hate this app! As a senior citizen I rely on the services they offer, but no matter how many times I update, it's always crashing; sometimes within minutes. It's often inaccurate w/in-stock & item location within the store. Frustrating! Get your act together Walmart! Survey? I don't know how much more detailed or explicit I can be. If you can't glean from my comment where the problems lie, then it explains why there are ongoing problems that are never addressed.

This app is beyond frustrating and difficult to use when trying to pay using tap or Walmart pay. Went to one store and couldn't get assistance getting it to work. Went to a different Walmart and somehow instead of completing the transaction it ordered a store pick up order for the next day. Staff just stood there watching struggle to figure out what happened. Cancel the order in the app and there's a 10 day hold on the funds. Avoid this app. I'm disappointed.

This app has major issues. Searching for an item is infuriating. Say you want an xxl white tshirt, the app displays basically all shirts, in no particular order, from dozens of "partners". Trying to get help with anything is time consuming and difficult. The app will tell me something is in stock when I place my order, and then it's suddenly unavailable. My orders are frequently "delayed" with no explanation and half the time I can't access my cart or other features.

The stock information for in store products has been wrong on multiple occasions. The isle information is sometimes wrong. I don't see a way to leave a review on a product I decided to return. The review interface says I have no products to review! I do like using it to pay when I forget my wallet at stores that don't accept tap yet! when the isle information is correct it saves me walking around looking for items. So 2 ⭐ instead of 1!

it's a little awkward to navigate. Instacart and Amazon are more streamlined and user friendly. The savings with Walmart are better though, but, for example, many items are unavailable, or only available through shipping. I am using the app for grocery shopping though, so it would be helpful if items available for delivery would be separated when searching. I'm offered dozens of options for ice cream, but dozens of them aren't available at my store. I always end up with a replacement.

they keep adding more features yet ignore the most basic stuff like when you're in store mode you can't get to your lists. you have to exit store mode. then you come back into store mode and have to go through all the introduction again. when you started returning the app chose your barcode. if you exit the app, there's no way to get the barcode back. the item is no longer listed as a return option because you already did it yet. there's no way to get to the barcode chill customer service.

I would give a 5, but you fall short of it because I had so many issues with items being missing, and a couple of times, my ENTIRE order. That hasn't happened since I started selecting the option that requires a code from me. The problem with that, which is why I said 4 stars instead of 5, is that I shouldn't HAVE to do that. I understand mistakes happen, but not 9 out of 10 orders consistently. Overall, I'm grateful for this service, as I'm older, and this is much easier and convenient for me.

my only complaint is i wish i could search my purchase history, so i could easily buy items again. unless you happen to remember the exact name of an item, it won't show up. for example, i bought 1 trash can last year. if i search "trash can," every single purchase ive ever made shows up in the results as opposed to the one purchase that actually contains the item I'm looking for.

If you don't want produce, meat, or eggs this app is great. If you want any of those things they will always give you spoiled/damaged products. I gave this app a half a dozen tries, every time I just had to throw those things away, go up to the store again, and spend even more money. Once or twice I can forgive, but in the end it just costs me way too much time and money, and I don't have a lot of of either of those things. edit: I'm not signing up and downloading "X" to solve your screw up.

This is the worst app I've ever dealt with. Between the crashing and constant "technical issue" and "no internet" pop-ups, it is a huge pain. And the same thing has happened when I lived in a different state with different phones and different, very reliable ISPs, so the issue is definitely not on my end. You'd think with the amount of money Walmart makes, they could afford to offer a better, more reliable app, but I guess the executives only care about their own profits.

It's hard to shop for groceries unless you have a complete list and search exactly what you're looking for item by item. Then the same "sponsored" products show up so much that you can't seem to find anything. Payment never goes through the first time, so I end up with multiple holds on my account for a week or more because my bank is waiting for Walmart to finish all those charges. I need the convenience of delivery with my weird schedule, but they really make it difficult.

buggy, missing critical features, doesn't show fees that you are being charged. I thought it might be better than the Walmart website, but it's worse, I was specifically on the lookout for the below minimum order fee, but it's not there, they charge you for things they don't tell you about until you see your receipt after you've already paid, and then they try to route your customer support through AI before you finally wrestle your way through it to get to someone who is not allowed to help.

Edit: Happened again, their solution? Give them your email or phone number so you can use their wifi and they get to use your data. Awful fix. Sick of having to get a cart full of groceries only to waste my time and not be able to pay for them. I just left. Was about to pay for my groceries and walmart app went down for the whole store. Couldnt even pay for anything and i had a cart full and didnt have any other means to pay. The time when i really needed it, it failed me.

First off, back to having problems with connecting in stores. Pretty much forced to sign into Walmarts Wi-Fi - which is unsecured despite the never ending steps being required to sign in. I should be able to use my phone data if I please. Second, a company as big as Walmart and you can't manage a basic feature like dark mode in your app? Unacceptable. Third, lists are constantly glitching out, and the lack of organization to help with shopping is disappointing to say the least.

I mainly use this app for walmart pay. That's because Walmart doesn't use tap to pay, and their card readers usually have issues reading the chip on my card. Regardless, the app is always very slow to load, which adds friction to the experience (enough that i hate to use it, but have to because of the card reader issues). I also don't like that when you offer groceries, not everything physically in the store is presented in the app.

generally a good app, easy to use, etc. but the $7 fee for ordering anything below $35 is so silly. that's not even a shipping fee since it's for pickup orders as well. numerous times I've just decided to shop elsewhere if I only need a few things and don't want to spend an additional $7 on nothing. if it was a shipping fee or something I'd understand but its literally just a "you didn't spend enough money" fee and thats crazy lol

3 stars only because the customer service is on it every time I need them, otherwise would have been 2 stars. The substitutions page on mobile app is frustrating, enraging and makes me not want to order. God forbid if you accidentally swipe down too fast or from too far up on the screen, it'll kick you out of the entire process and NONE of your choices will have saved. So for those of us who are ordering a lot of items, it gets very irritating very VERY quickly. Otherwise, it's a good app.

The app has issues. When I try to choose substitutions it frequently kicks me out and does not save any of the items I chose as substitutions. Today I started over 3 times and have just been kicked out again. Last week they rescheduled my pickup time from Sunday to the middle of the work day on Monday. I tried to reschedule for a time I could actually get there and it wouldn't let me. My only option was to cancel the order. So frustrating and wastes my time.
