I bought 2 and Wasn't expecting too much for the price. The first one I opened everything went pretty smooth. The second camera was an outright pain in the @#$ right from the start. Still to this day one works alright and the other one not so much. I have had quite a few different security cameras inside and out varying from the Ring to Geeni/Mercury, Wyze, Yi plus some to these etc. I've had better and I've had worse however I still won't purchase these again.

I'm thinking of returning them because other camera software are better. Not only that, but the prices they are charging is 3x higher than others, and I wouldn't mind paying such high prices, but the software doesn't work, so there is no point. Will have to look for alternative cameras.
The camera constantly goes offline for weeks at a time. I'm unsubscribing from this horrible service. I have a paid subscription to their cloud storage, and that too, sucks. You can't access your stored video footage if it's more than one week old on a rolling monthly subscription. I could also just use a memory card and delete unneeded footages weekly. Update: The camera is programmed to stop working after a 1yr and half.
I don't like that they got rid of 24/7 recording. My camera moved to a different spot and it happens between 2 recordings and I am not able to see why it moved in those 2 minutes! My settings says it's recording 24/7, but this is a lie with this latest update! Bring back the full recording bar, not just alerts! Also don't like that they took away the time increment search when looking at the "24/7" recording. Bring it back! Other than that, it's been a good security camera for us.
The time shifting feature STILL doesn't work. It's been a month since it stopped. This camera/app isn't giving what it promises. Until it's fixed, I'll leave this here for those interested. **UPDATE- They finalllllly got the feature working and now I've noticed, it's not working again. I'm starting to think I'd be better off with other cameras and paying a monthly fee to someone else.
Extremely unreliable. Sometimes it records, sometimes not. You'll get an alert for movement but there's nothing in the cloud recordings. Sometimes it just randomly disconnects for no reason, and you don't know it until it's too late. Then you're off to reconnect everything like you just bought it. This really is lousy, and I'm paying monthly for this mess.
Have been using this apps for several years. Recently it has gone to garbage. I can't view my cameras. Says they are offline at the time I log into the app. If I relog the app It may pop up that it's working & then when I click on them it trys to load then tells me it can't load. It's now a game of will the camera load today or not. It's still recording so I can see past events but that doesn't help if something happens.
My phone was scanned for malware and said this app has it. If anything, this app needs to improve its security. I already spent over $100 for the cameras. As for the cameras, they work fine. You can move the camera position around through the app and save positions without having to constantly move it yourself. Too bad it takes a while to open the app and load the camera's view.
I got this and set it up before a vacation including getting the membership. Any time I try to watch an alert all I see is a black screen with the timer ticking away. It's completely pointless and gives me zero peace of mind. All these Chinese cameras they sell on Amazon that require an app are absolute garbage. I don't know why I wasted my money. I'm definitely going to cancel before my trial period is over because I'm not paying for a year of this useless junk.
it's a slow app. slow to load and show to establish a secure connection. I'm always having a hard time connecting remotely, and when I can, it's lagging and choppy. I have 2 other cameras by Kasa that load and connect instantly. they are both further from the router and all are on the same network. I aim to replace this camera ASAP
The app is trash! Everytime I try to check it to see what happened, where we left something or how long ago It's been, this app always tells me i need to pay money to use the cloud because my memory cards aren't formatted. Always trying to get you to spend money on the cloud subscription since that's what pops up. I would say the camera is great but the app defeats the whole purpose of having a camera, so find a different camera with a different app if you don't want to pay for the cloud.
It used to be great. All of a sudden today cameras are offline and can't get them connected no matter what I do. I don't know what happened today but this needs to be fixed ASAP. I have tried emailing, calling (just rings and rings comes up as spam) and fb message. No one is getting back to me. I need my cameras to work!!! These cameras constantly stop recording onto sd card and stop sending motion alerts. They randomly restart themselves. The console stop working so you can't move them.
These cameras are actually awesome for their price. The app works pretty flawlessly too. I will say, (granted i got the cheapish option) the motion detection is moderate. it's not phenomenal, I have never gotten the "AI" to detect a human form. Turning on just general motion detection works okay. However, the motion detection has a VERY small area of trigger (middle of the camera view)and not super sensitive at highest setting. I wish they would change how this worked then it would be 5 stars.
Had the camera for about a month now, everything was working great. now all of a sudden, I can't record video but I only get alerts with pictures. I had everything set up with my SD Card and I was getting video recordings. Noticed that the setting for recording video is no longer in the app. I paid $149 for the year, what's the point of a SD Card for video if it's not recording video??
the fact it only records 10sec and not the entire length of time there's movement, drives me bananas but I could live with it. I do also not like the fact that with the smallest movement of the site cutting on or a tree swaying in the breeze, the camera moves and didn't go back to the original position, even though it's set to do so. My BIGGEST complaint was last night after the update NONE OF MY 3 CAMERAS WORK!!! They will NOT reconnect to the servers and I've tried EVERYTHING!!!!
Used to be able to view recorded video clips through the app as far back as you wanted, but now you can only go back two days through the app unless you buy their subscription service, even though the clip is recorded on a physical micro SD card in the camera. Eventually you won't be able to turn the camera on without a subscription if they keep removing features to hide behind a paywall.
App is terrible. I installed an sd card to track sleep movements. To download to phone via app, you have to select every 10 second clip, no select all. It's absolutely insane. As a former developer, I have no idea how such a basic task can be so friggin hard, useless unless you have 15 minutes to click every 10 second clip every day to download.
I actually thought I had done this already. anyway, the camera works great in all ways. the real issue is with the monitoring service. they are separate from the product and you CANNOT access their service without a credit card, even though it keeps talking about PayPal. Debit cards will get rejected. So if you're comfortable giving another Chinese company your credit card, go for it! Since this still works fine without the service, I'll recommend this product anyway.
This app works excellent to control the cameras, allow you to position them, zoom in and out, look at memory (if you have installed memory cards) and plenty more. there a ton of options for lots of things such as human motion recognition, sensitivity level, do you want the mic active?, and so on. the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've had some issues with reliability in alerts. On the plus side, the company is very responsive and is working on this. so, this may soon change.
It was pretty good but could improve. I shouldn't have to click on individual cameras to get them to refresh. Refresh should happen automatically. When on large screen view for individual camera, I should be able to swipe to the next camera without going back to the main screen. Other than that, most all of the cameras and the app are great and user-friendly. I have noticed that with the memory card, very few movements are recorded.
