Description
Been using Wave by OCTA for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that makes riding the OC Bus way easier and more convenient. Pretty solid if you’re a frequent bus rider.
Here’s what you can do: you can load value onto your Wave card through the app, and it’ll automatically cap your daily and monthly fares so you never overpay. There’s also real-time bus info, so you can plan your trips better. And you can manage all your Wave cards in one place – took me a while to figure that out but it’s really useful.
Look, if you ride the bus a lot, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be kinda clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out for sure.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Wave by OCTA. I've tried a bunch of transit apps and this one's pretty solid. It's got all the features you need to make bus riding way easier, like automatic fare capping and mobile payments. The real-time info is super helpful too. The only downside is the UI feels a little dated, but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, if you ride the bus regularly, this is a great app to have in your arsenal.
