just like Google maps, but wait you have to pay $60/year so nothing at all like Google maps.... *then maybe be more truthful in your marketing. again NOTHING like google maps even tho you say I this. also says free but you can't go anywhere unless you agree to to a subscription. regardless if you can cancel anytime. its not free. Enthusiasts figure out a way to do it right. You seem more like capitalists. you're more like Garmin than Google. and Garmin offers a great product.

Great app but... I'm not sure if the programmers have been boating? Traditionally boat speed is in knots and distance is in NM. Both these options are not available to select from which is a major shortfall for a boating navigation app. Otherwise I love the simple interface and cost of the app.

credit card required for free trial, and no mention of this being a fee for service. I'm tired of dishonesty and lack of transparency wasting my time.

no way to use it without signing up for a 14-day free trial. I just want to use the app, not put in any credit card information or anything. there's not even a basic free version I can use without signing up? everything is a subscription nowadays.

So far works BUT.... Just like truckers GPS the high of my boat from the water line to mast top (YEP it's a sailboat) so as I sit down and work on a trip to be done if by chance i obviate anything like a bridge, ect to low for my vertical high the app IMMEDIATELY will tell me not a good choice (and offer alternatives). TRUST ME ON THIS. Something elevated to that degree will seem more appealing to a bigger group like us. Thx

one of the best apps I've ever downloaded, simple to use, easy to navigate and the price can't be beat. 60 bucks a year vs buying a 600 dollar GPS it shows safe navigation, water depth, speed and so much more, you can plan routs, have it follow you in unfamiliar areas so you can have a map back. honestly it's worth wayyy more than there charging and to have the safety and peace of mind while boating is priceless.Highly recommend, great customer support if needed

The application is fine. I like how stable is comparing to other apps even if there is not data connection. But the autoroute function cannot plot a course with locks. Maybe developers can find a solution. If they need my support to implement an algorithm to determine and plot a course though the locks let me know.

Great app! Before I purcashed it, I had already broken 3 props. In addition, kudos to Kayla who, in the costumer service department, does an EXCELLENT job at keeping us happy, helping me resolve a couple of minor issues that I've experienced since I started using this app, about 3 years ago.

Unless I'm missing something, this seems pretty useless. All of the lakes I would need this for (the Ozark lakes, LOZ, Bull Shoals, Mark Twain, etc) have no real data. Nothing marked on the maps at all. I dont see any benefit of this over Google Maps.

Used this app up Lake Huron, down Lake Michigan, through the Illinois River, Mississippi River, Ohio River, and Tennessee River from Detroit to Knoxville. APP worked great and was a perfect addition to the onboard GPS and chart plotter. Definitely recommend this app.

This is truly an awful app. I have been boating (sail and power) for over 50 years and I recently tried this app and used it in an area of the California Delta I was very familiar with. At times it showed my position as being on shore while I was actually in the middle of the channel. The color scheme is vague and a hard to see plus it does not conform to traditional charts. I would venture to say that this app is downright dangerous for novice boaters to use, beware!

Ad made it sound free without mentioning it being a trial. Quite expensive if you arent going to use it regularly. Lots of sign up prompts before it even mentions a payment. Do not recommend unless you are wanting to pay for it. Didn't pay so didnt even get a chance to check it out

I'm currently trying to dispute charges where they have automatically renewed a year long subscription. do not sign up for the free trial unless you want them to automatically run your credit card. if somebody could please reach out to me and help me reverse this charge and cancel the subscription. I would be willing 2 Change my review.

I downloaded the app while renting a boat on vacation. The actual app itself was just ok. I was never able to route any other way than manually which was cumbersome but when I failed to cancel after the introductory period was over, I was charged for the full year. I cancelled promptly but WAVVE refused to issue a refund of any kind. I left to assume they rely on this for this business. Not a good business model in my opinion.

The app is 5 stars, but the fine print is a 1 or possibly a zero. I, like the reviewer on 9/5/25, did not cancel before trial date expired. I don't mind paying for the time I use the app, but I don't see the logic in paying for the time the boat sits in my shop. I'll just use up the fee and move on.

WORST app ever. Kept saying " no route found".... in the middle of a lake, with the 2 points less than 2 miles apart. I drove to the destination with the app open, and the tried to get it to show me the way back, the same way it had just tracked while i drove and still " no route found' ! Waste of time and effort. I should have read the reviews !

I downloaded this app because the ad that I clicked on said it was a free app. but you couldn't even utilize it until you signed up for the free trial and then it's a monthly subscription. Completely misleading and not free. This type of advertising just makes somebody that could potentially use it in the future not want to after being lied to right from the beginning.

I'm new at boating. I spent $1000 dollars on a depth finder/ fish finder. 90% of the time it's useless. if I driving it' works sometimes and when I need it most it doesn't work. with that being said the wavve app saved me and made boating less stressful. It's never let me down and so simple to use . I feel so much more confident. I can't believe how accurate it is . I 100% rely on it and tell everyone I meet the benefits of wavve. I've had a couple of my friends try it out and we're sold .

Will never buy an app subscription without being able to test if it is any good at all. pushing to subscribe even if is free for 14 days is a scam. you guys betting on people forgetting to cancel and get possibly a year or monthly pay for something that might not work, true good apps. didn't force you to subscribe without a free trial of the product. I've used weather apps (for example) that had limited features but let you see how they work and I happily subscribed after testing.

Overall, it is a really good app to use to get around safely on bigger water. Was very helpful on those windy days and mappng out the place as there were a lot of shoals. Finding out they do offer a monthly subscription is a game changer. Some of us don't spend all year on the water. I go on extensive fishing trips several times a year, but they're never for more than 2 weeks at a time. So it's really nice to be able to pay a monthly fee when needed. Great work, gals and guys!
