Can't see the price of any of their food items until you add it to your cart, which leads to you having to add a million things to your cart just to see what anything costs and then having to remove it all when you're done browsing. Although I'd be hiding my pricing too if I was trying to charge what they are for gas station food. What a terrible user experience and bad first impression as a first time Wawa customer.

The rewards are nice too — you rack up points and can cash them in for free coffee or snacks, which is always a win. I also like that you can pay for gas through the app, so you don’t even have to mess with your card at the pump. It’s super convenient when it works. That said, the app can be a little glitchy sometimes.
While I like the ordering part, trying to "pick my store" is almost impossible. It wants your location or zip. I put in the zip & nothing happens. No errors just nothing. I use my location from the phone & it keeps taking me to the app permissions, which are already set to allow the app to access it. Hit the back button & it takes me back to request zip or use location, over and over again until minutes even as much as 10 minutes of on & off trying, it finally shows all the Wawas in the area.
I was excited to use the app to pay with gift cards. Downloaded, go to find a store, enter zip code...nothing happens. Enter full address... nothing. Turn on location... nothing. Same issue adding more funds to my gift card- I kept clicking the submit button and nothing happened. Not able to use multiple gift cards on the same order or use a gift card and cc for balance. Not able to use a cc without saving it to the app. Not able to choose which store you order from.
Trying to set up my account and on step 2 as soon as I click to put in the information the next/continue button disappears and doesn't come back up to complete my account setup UPDATE: finally got to set up an account used it once for fueling through the next few times I tried to use the in app fueling it would say "pump offline" now anytime I try to login to my account it says there is an error and doesn't allow me to login anymore. 0 stars from me
android app is horrible!! i ordered 3 iced coffees in the app with pay in app, it says payment error so I started over again, another error so finally I ordered as pay in store, when I went to pick up my order, 9 coffees are waiting for me. the manager refused to give a refund and told me I have to call customer service. after waiting for the representative for 20 minutes, i finally got my refund. they need to fix app it often shows errors, especially when I try to use my reward points.
not usable. I can't search for a store and it won't use my location to find the nearest store. it worked fine previously. After deleting and reinstalling 3 times I was able to find a location. Then found half the toppings mysteriously missing (no mayo or ham? really?). App interface is just terrible. If you hit back to return to the main lunch menu, it makes you start your order all over again. It's literally not even worth using at all.
App is useless. I had installed it about a year ago placed a online order. it took my money but then food was never put out. didn't have time to look into it. reinstalled it just now. figured they must have fixed it a year later but now it won't even open on my Pixel 8. Wawa stores in person usually are fine. However whoever it is that is in charge of the app needs to be fired.
Buggy, laggy, horrible app. You have to enter your address every time you order, you can't select a store to order from. Trying to swipe to the side to view other items instead keeps changing screens. They cancel your order without any kind of notice or phone call. When you do get your order to go through, they use Door Dash, whose drivers can't read house numbers. If you never receive your order, they don't issue refunds for their retarded drivers' mistakes.
Update: Aug 12th Gained a star back The inventory of the store needs to be connected to the app to make ordering more efficient. Additionally, a change to an online order should be able to be made at the pickup window. If an item can be canceled at the window, why can't an item be switched out?? This would put a lot less stress on the store employee and the customer.
Useless. You can't checkout. When you try to add a card, the submit button disappears so you can't add a payment method. If you can manage to check out, there will likely be a problem with your order and instead of the store picking up the phone and dealing with it they leave a note for you to contact the 3rd party app to resolve it. There is no 3rd party app geniuses, it's you! And why can't we select a store to order from? Not all stores are good.
can't sign in. I even tried changing my default browser to Chrome, but I can't with in with the app. I can login to my rewards account on the website, but the app doesn't work and either crashes or shows a "login error". the app frequently shows a message about "low connectivity" whether on Wi-Fi or LTE. it's completely broken.
Can't sign in because of a login error. When I am signed in I can't enter a parking spot number for a pickup order or pay for gas through the app because more errors. It's just constant errors. UPDATE (4 Nov) Haven't been able to sign into the app at all for 3 months now. UPDATE 2 (26 Dec) Still can't sign into the app. UPDATE 3 (13 Sep 2025) Still can't sign in due to a login error. Moving on from Wawa.
Why use a credit card or cash when you can spend an extra 5 minutes trying to figure out a convoluted user experience with painfully slow load-times (on a full 5G connection) and usually an error or two along the way. I've tried to give this app a chance, it's just a bad and frustrating way to pump gas. Please dedicate more resources to the Android app. Or better yet, do like 7-Eleven and let me enter my phone number for rewards and be done with it.
The app can be a little slow at times, but overall it's a great for rewards. You can pay for gas right at the pump from your phone so if you're running late its a time saver, and you get rewards points on top of it. They have one of the bigger selections for tobacco product rewards that you have to verify your age before accessing which is great so anyone underage isn't being solicited to. There's also daily or weekly promos or freebies you can redeem in the app. Every purchase rewards points.
Dont bother with the app. You have to make selections 5+ times before they are confirmed or added to your bag/cart.I can't send an order though to the store, it throws an error each time. I've waisted 30 minutes of my time just trying to order lunch. my other option is to order in the store and wait inside for an hour for them to start making the food. The Sheetz app works just fine, so I'll use that instead and drive the extra few miles for a company that invests in access for their customers.
This app used to be really great and helpful. I could order my lunches ahead of time and have them scheduled for pickup right when lunch break started. As of the past 2 or 3 months though, just about every other time I try to order the app is down or frozen up or locked in some way and I cannot process the order. Same. When I'm trying to pay for gas at the pump it keeps shutting down and won't work.
I've been coming here to get sandwiches a lot which are great. Encouraged to use the app to rack up a rewards but when downloaded it either will not open or will not let me click create account. What good is it if you can't create the account and use the app? Keeps giving a low connectivity error message upon clicking on the app. No connection yet same error message when trying to login. tells me that the error message is from your servers #15! Mult. tries, giving up!!!
06/2025 Update: Cart doesn't save - can't pick out items ahead of time & come back when ready to order. If edit item in cart, customizations aren't saved so must reselect all options. Ordering not tied to inventory so can order & pay for out of stock items. Milk alternatives & flavors available for some drinks, not others. Can't take screen shot of receipt, it returns a black screen. Can't pay with a combo of gift card and credit card, so have a gift card with a small amount that I can't use!
I swore the app allowed me to use Google Pay when I first installed it... Now Google Pay is not an option. I've found several things to be available in store that the app won't allow (such as the app only allowing small fries when you can get larger sizes in store, or burgers disappearing from my cart and suddenly becoming unavailable, while still there in store). The app works, but it seems they have quite a few bugs to work out of it. And give us back Google Pay as an option!
