Can't see the price of any of their food items until you add it to your cart, which leads to you having to add a million things to your cart just to see what anything costs and then having to remove it all when you're done browsing. Although I'd be hiding my pricing too if I was trying to charge what they are for gas station food. What a terrible user experience and bad first impression as a first time Wawa customer.

The Wawa app is pretty solid if you’re someone who goes there a lot. The best part is being able to order food and drinks ahead of time so you don’t have to stand around waiting. The rewards are nice too — you rack up points and can cash them in for free coffee or snacks, which is always a win. I also like that you can pay for gas through the app, so you don’t even have to mess with your card at the pump. It’s super convenient when it works. That said, the app can be a little glitchy sometimes.
While I like the ordering part, trying to "pick my store" is almost impossible. It wants your location or zip. I put in the zip & nothing happens. No errors just nothing. I use my location from the phone & it keeps taking me to the app permissions, which are already set to allow the app to access it. Hit the back button & it takes me back to request zip or use location, over and over again until minutes even as much as 10 minutes of on & off trying, it finally shows all the Wawas in the area.
I was excited to use the app to pay with gift cards. Downloaded, go to find a store, enter zip code...nothing happens. Enter full address... nothing. Turn on location... nothing. Same issue adding more funds to my gift card- I kept clicking the submit button and nothing happened. Not able to use multiple gift cards on the same order or use a gift card and cc for balance. Not able to use a cc without saving it to the app. Not able to choose which store you order from.
Trying to set up my account and on step 2 as soon as I click to put in the information the next/continue button disappears and doesn't come back up to complete my account setup UPDATE: finally got to set up an account used it once for fueling through the next few times I tried to use the in app fueling it would say "pump offline" now anytime I try to login to my account it says there is an error and doesn't allow me to login anymore. 0 stars from me
android app is horrible!! i ordered 3 iced coffees in the app with pay in app, it says payment error so I started over again, another error so finally I ordered as pay in store, when I went to pick up my order, 9 coffees are waiting for me. the manager refused to give a refund and told me I have to call customer service. after waiting for the representative for 20 minutes, i finally got my refund. they need to fix app it often shows errors, especially when I try to use my reward points.
not usable. I can't search for a store and it won't use my location to find the nearest store. it worked fine previously. After deleting and reinstalling 3 times I was able to find a location. Then found half the toppings mysteriously missing (no mayo or ham? really?). App interface is just terrible. If you hit back to return to the main lunch menu, it makes you start your order all over again. It's literally not even worth using at all.
App is useless. I had installed it about a year ago placed a online order. it took my money but then food was never put out. didn't have time to look into it. reinstalled it just now. figured they must have fixed it a year later but now it won't even open on my Pixel 8. Wawa stores in person usually are fine. However whoever it is that is in charge of the app needs to be fired.
Buggy, laggy, horrible app. You have to enter your address every time you order, you can't select a store to order from. Trying to swipe to the side to view other items instead keeps changing screens. They cancel your order without any kind of notice or phone call. When you do get your order to go through, they use Door Dash, whose drivers can't read house numbers. If you never receive your order, they don't issue refunds for their retarded drivers' mistakes.
Update: Aug 12th Gained a star back The inventory of the store needs to be connected to the app to make ordering more efficient. Additionally, a change to an online order should be able to be made at the pickup window. If an item can be canceled at the window, why can't an item be switched out?? This would put a lot less stress on the store employee and the customer.
