Reviews for Webex

← Back to Webex

it lucks a lot, so temperamental, on and off. At times poor quality sound from either side. it keeps on crushing. it has no option to block a contact and also it doesn't seem to have an option to reset password. Generally, its good if you've any other option otherwise its terrible experience.

Pictures rarely send successfully and never download past the preview thumbnail in the messaging window on a cell connection. All I usually get is an error message. Skype was a hot mess, but even that worked better than Webex in this regard...

I have never experienced any problem with webex since it changed from former Webphone name. Calling rates are still the same as of 2016 when I joined it. I recommend it with 5 🌟 it deserves it. I enjoy it worldwide 🌐.

I’d like to share a few things I really like about Webex. First of all, I appreciate its clean and modern design. I also find the meeting features very useful, especially the floating panel, which makes multitasking easier. Another big plus for me is the VidCast add-on, which adds extra value to the platform.

Multiple issues. 1) Can't make or receive calls. Get an error every time and the call drops immediately. 2) Teams and chats joined on my PC are not syncing and showing up in the app. I made sure the app is up to date. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still having the same problems.

Update 10/25, app will not open at all. Freezes on home screen, say site unreachable,Half the time I can't log in and then sometimes it does not even register a call coming in and then it forces me to try to use it on my regular phone when trying to click on a phone number link. Yes my settings are correct. Bottom line I need this app to do what it says for work purposes but it is a lousy excuse for the claims it portrays. Cox communications needs to get a better app based internet phone system.

Horrible app. I use it for phone calls thru my internet provider (Rogers). When I have a voice mail, it won't play the message. That is, this system won't play a .wav file that it created! When I tap on a caller, it opens a screen with a button to call the number that called me but nothing happens - it doesn't work. Incompetence. No response after several weeks = lost another star. It's one thing to be incompetent, but another thing not to care about quality.

Update 8/20. Still a bad video calling app. Added one star for adding speakerphone, but still only 3 stars because it's buggy and only sometimes works. Cisco has been scrambling over the last few months to get this up to speed, but it's embarrassing and unacceptable that it was so broken to begin with and they need to rush updates out to catch up to the demand work from home.

This app used to work okay, but for the past couple months of updates it's become literally unusable. The app crashes every single time i try to just type in a phone number. Calls come in but when I press Answer it doesn't actually pick up, just keeps ringing. Crashes constantly. I have to use this for work but lately I just have been giving out my personal number because WebEx cannot EVER place or pick up calls without crashing. In the past is was much more stable.

Calling never works. I have to use this for work, and literally every time I open the app, calling is unavailable. I've called support 5 or 6 times, and the only thing they can advise me is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I'm not going to uninstall and reinstall the app every morning. I'm stuck using the phone app for the laptop, the one on the phone is completely useless.

Constant bugs. The developers don't care about android. They only care about iOS and I have to use this app for work. So sad! Right now I can finally make calls, but sometimes I have to toggle the microphone permission in Android settings. The most recent bug is that I cannot send a message without it saying "sending" indefinitely. Then when I back out and re-enter my group the message will send. It will also not update incoming messages until I back out and re-enter the group.

New app that's no different than the old one. Cisco just wanted to get away from bad reviews so they re released the same app under a new name. There's no new functionally. I still can't schedule when I want to receive calls, you have to force close the app if you don't want calls right now. What a joke. How is it that so many big companies are so out of touch with their consumer? I guess it's because so many of us are stuck with you, right Cisco?

Call Quality completely terrible. It's almost unusable with the most recent app update. I'm having major issues with it whether it be on Wi-Fi or over data. Prior to that it was better. The other major issue is that it does not play well. With automotive bluetooth connectivity. It does not seem to respect the ability to turn off. Transfer to The vehicle.

Good app, but it has two issues. It is not synced with the one I have on my computer. I always get notifications for things that were sent months ago. I read in the latest update notes that this issue is resolved. However, I can't confirm this because the app started freezing when I start it after the latest update. I have to forcefully stop it and start it again, but I can't switch to another app because I have to forcefully stop it again then start it. Re-installing didn't work.

I've been using Webex for years on my PC for appointments, which worked fairly well. My OS has been phased out for this software however, and now I'm forced to use this app. The app appears to at least allow for video, but audio is so low, I have to dial in on my phone to speak over voice & it's not always understandable over the app. I'm giving the app 2 stars rather than 1 because it's at least semi-functional, but definitely less quality than when I was able to run it on my PC.

Scrolling up in a chat is nearly impossible, the screen just violently shakes back down to the most recent messages. Constantly informs me that it's using my battery (???) Occasionally resets all of my settings. Lately, won't load images. Also, it's possible to read and respond to a message on this app without Webex acknowledging that you've gone online, and it keeps your status as Away for X minutes.

I do not like this app. I am unable to text people, and when I have another call coming thru when I'm on the phone, the beeping continues through the whole phone call even when the call is no longer coming thru. After I hang up, the beeping is still continuing on my phone, and closing the app is no longer a solution. I've had to restart my phone 3 times in less than 2 hours. It's frustrating because my Bluetooth also will not work properly. And I can not use the callback feature.

This app seems to hate Android phones. I can't call anybody 1-to-1 on it, the audio/video call buttons are functionless. And calling into a meeting you are at the mercy of whatever audio settings the app decides is best, with no way to change mid-meeting. The only way to have any control over the audio is to call in over mobile. Also, I stopped getting message notifications, so I have to go into the app to see if people are talking to me. Hate this app, would give it zero stars if I could.

I cannot say enough negative things about this worthless app. I got a brand new phone, hoping that it would help with the issues. Instead it's even worse. Rings only about 2/3rds of the time. Takes several seconds to connect, by which time the caller is saying "Hello? Hello?" Frequently mutes me while I can still hear the caller. There is absolutely no issue with my Wi-Fi or data. The app is simply hot garbage.

I have yet to experience a system and app as flawed as WebEx. I have actually lost clients thanks to it. Calls drop all the time. Apparently the Internet provider I use (which services millions of people) doesn't meet their "network requirements", so calls drop. Ridiculous. Or when you go to answer a call, it takes so long for the app to open and respond that you end up missing the call. In the rare instance you can answer the call, it doesn't work with your Bluetooth device 50% of the time.
