Reviews for Weight Loss Walking: WalkFit

A quick workout that gets me moving each day! Each exercise is just enough! When I start feeling a little heat, the routine changes so that I don't get overwhelmed! It's perfect! It's been so easy to work into my morning routine without stealing too much time. And having the video to guide me makes it so simple! With just a few minutes, I've got my workout in for the day! I love it!

This app is designed for people who have a Fitbit. I would've never signed up for this had I known it didn't pair with Garmin fitness trackers. You can use Google Fit with it but it doesn't track accurately unless your phone is literally in your hand. I went grocery shopping with my phone in my pocket. None of the steps were tracked. It has some nice workouts so that's why I give it 3 stars, but if it paired with more fitness trackers I would give it 5.

It worked pretty well at first. Then it completely stopped tracking my steps. I have tried syncing multiple ways, cleared the cache, uninstalled the app and nothing has worked. This morning I started my "Today's Workout" 5 times. It kept closing out. Please don't waste your money. Customer service was responsive, but pretty much told me the same things I have mentioned, which did not work.

I paid for a short membership but found that I couldn't mirror the app to my TV or see the workouts on my laptop, so I canceled. They offered me a great deal to try three more months, which I accepted in hopes of finding someone more tech savvy than I am to help make it work. I could not and canceled again, but it still auto renewed again, and they won't refund me. Even though the workouts seem pretty decent, I would recommend trying due to the autorenewal issue.

Well, so far I am wishing I hadn't paid for this app. It's such a good idea and I was really excited to use it. Unfortunately, it doesn't sync or keep an accurate step count. I have tried syncing with Google Fit, Google Health, and just using my phone, since I do have a Samsung Galaxy phone and watch. I was hopeful, since there was an app for my watch the integration would work. It does not. I have somehow lost 1,500 steps in the transfer from Samsung to WalkFit. I will be canceling.

Great app for tracking steps and walking routes, and it increases your walking goal to help you keep pushing. However, it lacks much meaningful customization, and while it says it adds the average steps from the included (non-walking) workouts, it never added them for me. And it bugged me that there was no way to turn off the member stories that it kept pushing. Solid app, but some significant drawbacks.

When I first downloaded the app it was great! I enjoyed the exercises. I didn't realize they didn't have a free version which is fine. I paid a lesser amount for the subscription which was nice. I stopped using it after a month and a half. Not the apps fault but life happened. I was billed for another 3 months I immediately canceled the subscription and after requesting, a refund was issued. Now that I canceled the subscription the app just sends you to a page to subscribe again.

No free version. You can't even access the app to look at it before paying for it. I'm not paying for an app, sight unseen. Let me test out the basic stuff first and decide if I want to use premium stuff. And you have to fill out all your info before you can even see that you have to pay for the app to use it. Also, their timetable for when you can hit your goal is unrealistic. Over 50 lbs lost in three months? Doesn't even seem healthy.

I like the workouts. They were just what I was looking for in a low impact, beginners workout. However: there is zero product support. There is no clear direction on how to utilize the app for the best results. There is no follow-up on the advertising that led me to this app. It only recognizes workouts that I utilize through the app. It also only recognizes distance through the app. It will not be something I use long term. It's just a temporary tool until I find an app that offers more suppor

this app is VERY motivational, I like the prompts and the tailoring of the walking routine to me. I find some significant variances with the synchronization of steps between my watch and the app and between Google Fit and the app. I have switched sync devices several times, which makes me believe the variance is with the app. if you dont turn "on" a workout, the app will NOT sync your 'ambient' steps. Because I am on my feet for work, this can be the difference of reaching a goal or missing one

This problem was resolved: I liked the workouts. I decided to get it when they offered the 29.99 a year. Because I decided to pay with PayPal, it changed the price on me. It went from the 29.99 to a 3 month plan. The first 3 months were 25.99, then jumping to over 60 bucks. Watch how you pay for the price change and the auto renewal. Honestly, disappointed I had high hopes of doing this with my neighbor. Yes, I contacted them but made it out to be my fault for not noticing the price change.

Mostly just a step counter. I have used this app for about two months and did not lose any weight. I generally stuck to the plan for the number of steps per day. Most days I exceeded the amount, even double the app's daily goal. When I didn't make the goal because I couldn't or I didn't have my phone but there was a clear way to add steps. I started intermittent fasting prior to using this app and continued throughout. I didn't find the extras or motivation helpful since I was already motivated.

App is good, but workout videos are extremely frustrating. Video for one workout will play just fine, but it does not transition to the next video. Timer continues to work but the video goes blank. Have to constantly restart workouts to get the video to load, and workouts take at least double the amount of time as listed because of this.

Auto renewed but didn't alert me that it was going to renew. Most apps remind you of the renewal this one does not and with the hefty above $60 price tag I don't think that is appropriate. My situation was the same day as it renewed I canceled (at 1st I didn't know what the charge was) and they refuse to give the money back(they've had a change of heart) but offered a free year. It's ok otherwise but honestly I do not recommend subscribing at all. Benefits are minimal for the price.

Step count is way off. The app isn't even giving credit for the workouts I do in the app itself. I have tried syncing with Google fit as well as my watch with Health Connect, and the steps do not match at all. It looks like many others have had this same issue for months now, and nothing seems to fix it. I am very disappointed as I like many others have paid for a year. I do enjoy the workouts, but as someone who struggles to find motivation, not getting achievements is very discouraging.

I was really excited to find a walking for fitness app that promised to sync with my smartwatch. FYI, it has very limited connectivity, and will not sync with my Garmin. In addition, there is no way to manually add your steps from unsupportive devices. If I had known that ahead of time, I would not have purchased the app. As a teacher, I log an average of 4,000 - 6,000 steps a day, just at work. I can't use the phone sensor at work (district policy), so all of those steps aren't counted.

Good potential, but I expect more from a paid app. If this was a free app, I'd rate it 4 stars, but when I'm paying an annual fee, I expect close to perfection. The assigned daily workout seems to function well, but any additional workouts are not added to the daily exercise total, and every single one has malfunctioned around the halfway point, with a blank screen and no vocal cues for what exercise comes next. Syncing with my Fitbit is spotty - the app step total is always lower than my Fitbit

I loved the app ... UNTIL I got a fitbit to link to it, and now about 1/3 of the time it doesn't collect the data and ruins my streak, which is half the fun of the colorful app. I've reinstalled, reconnected, restarted, etc etc, but it simply stops syncing every third day or so now. I won't be continuing after my first three month subscription is up.

If you don't have a fitness tracker, you have to keep your phone on you constantly. I only want to do the workouts when I'm not at the gym lifting. I set my phone on the cardio machine so it doesn't track any steps. I don't find this convenient to use. I am glad the introductory offer wasn't expensive. I can't see me using this after it's over

No native integration with Garmin. Bought a third party app to make Garmin sync to Google fit, but still barely functional. Didn't originally add a goal date, now can't add one. I can't prove it's "impossible" to use to get a refund, because it isn't, but totally unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, it's all locked down until you buy, so hard to know without wasting a few bucks. "Workouts" are hokey. I was looking for personalized goals, not flailing in my living room. Not even going to bother.
