Until recently, I always have had the option to select the meal that I had the previous day when tracking. (e.g., select Wednesday's lunch on Thursday). Now it doesn't display the previous day's meal, nor does it show me a list of items that I have tracked on previous days. Tracking is annoying enough. This makes it even more time-consuming and difficult. Please re-enable this feature.
Reviews for WeightWatchers Program
← Back to WeightWatchers ProgramUnfortunately the Weight Watchers app is very difficult to use. I feel like I'm constantly jumping through hoops to be able to use it. Small "hitboxes" in order to scroll down on recipes, nutrition facts scanner rarely works, can't even save new foods using the scanner, etc. How am I supposed to track if I can't even get anything to work? Everything is made to be hard. It feels like each new update just adds more bugs. :( It's sad because a lot of the concepts sound great.
One of the best things about the app were the WalkTalks and Technique Library. But since the latest update, the Discover Content option (and everything under it, including the WalkTalks and technique library) are GONE. Hoping it's just a glitch to be fixed ASAP and not a permanent removal of content :( :( :( UPDATE: NOT a glitch. These items have been completely removed from the app. I signed up for a year expecting to have access to these items specifically. I feel baited and switched!
App is wildly inconsistent...Not every food is found. Even though I tend to eat the same things, I cannot always find them listed. I must re-type the food again,...and again...and again. PLEASE BRING BACK TRACKING ON THE WEBSITE....So much easier to type in the info...Website remembered frequently eaten foods....Website allowed you easily review prior days for comparison....Oh, I could go on and on.... To be attached to CELLPHONE is ridiculous!!! Senior Lifetime members are shut out.
Another problem, now you can't delete foods you created. Yes, I have cleared cache and uninstalled and reinstalled app numerous times. This app is awful! I HATE the new app. It is not user-friendly or easy to navigate. It seems like there is something new every other day. I find it's harder to find saved foods and make updates to the tracking. Now, I can't update the name on my on saved recipes or meals. These new updates are HORRIBLE!
Very very poor app for an Android user. It used to be workable but 3 releases ago too many issues now to be anywhere near user-friendly. Part 2. I have uninstalled and re installed the app each time they had a release. I just downloaded and attempted to sign in via the app. I get a message that says download the app for a better experience. I'm caught in a loop and unable to log in. I can't access the app now at all. What a mess.
Mostly great, but it hasn't let me create a new food from scanning the nutrition specs in. It accepts all the data, but when I try to save, the page reverts to the scan screen. I've tried over & over. Also, under the weight record, it only shows last 30 days. The last 60 days button doesn't respond. And why wouldn't I want to see more than that? Yes. I've updated.
I rejoined WW this year. There is nothing on the website. I click email links for information and it just takes me to app installation. I DO NOT WANT to track food on my phone all the time. I can't find recipes, can't find any info or recipes for the items I bought before the store was discontinued. My previously saved foods don't come up, searching is useless. It's like sponsored results come up before the items I typed in. I did a 10 month deal but I'm definitely dropping it after that.
I really like the improvements made in the app. I LOVE how the Bluetooth scale works, it would be nice if the weight would also document in the clinical area instead of manually having to enter it in there. One MAJOR thing that needs to happen is you should be able to change or correct the injection date. Sometimes I forget to log it and it would be nice if I could backdate, especially with it calculating the next injection time. uninstalling and reinstalling didn't resolve it.
Why is it that when app designers change apps, it makes them worse. I updated my app yesterday, and really didn't notice a huge difference until I tried to create a food. I scanned the nutrients on the package, typed in a name, hit the create button and ... nothing. I hit it several more times and it wouldn't create the food. ok, fine, I'll just quick add the points. type it all in and hit the button and it just spun for 10 minutes and never added. stop "fixing" things that aren't broken.
only have got this app a few days. fairly user friendly. I do think of video with some basic instructions might be a helpful addition to get you oriented to the program. perhaps things like when to weigh in, how much water to drink, etc. mostly I have been hunting and pecking through different buttons to figure out how it works. overall fairly simple. need more instruct to input ingredients on your personal recipes. camera helps but it's just a guess if it's right or wrong
1) Need an easy access chat function to get in touch with WW. 2) Need recipes to be included when searching to track food instead of having to go under your profile to find them. It's very frustrating. 3) Need more previously tracked foods to appear when clicking search instead of just the foods from the previous day. There's a thing called leftovers that come from a consecutive previous meal. Such as supper becomes lunch the next day.
overall it's a good app. Fairly easy to track foods, though if I type "baked salmon" I get 5 brand names of baked salmon before I get just plain salmon is beyond me. I cook my own foods and it's amazing how many brands I have to scroll thru. I wish I could connect the app to my Samsung watch which tracks my activities soooo much better than Google Fit on my phone. I always have to correct the steps and 80% of the time the app can't connect to Google Fit (I think it's Google's issue)
I like being able to track food on the go but when tracking fresh produce/groceries, it's tedious. If I input a tomato, the tomato should come up first not any brand of tomato. Also, I miss tracking my food on a website. It's easier to find the nutritional value of ethnic foods, produce and groceries then transfer the info into the meal tracker. At the moment, my second complaint is that the app is glitching.
The menopause version is glitchy. I recently switched subscriptions to get the specific info for my stage in life. The colors are shades of pink instead of the blue. It has a white background which is too bright. There is a setting for a dark version, but once you are out of the settings and profile screen, it changes back to light. Make it a choice to use the pink or the original and make the option setting work! The setting doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/7 still not fixed!!!!!!!!!!
Meh at best. Using the recipe part of the app is absolutely frustrating. It does not navigate well and there is no way to save or print a recipe to make life easier. Also... It doe not track foods that you eat on a regular basis. Sometimes it does but even that is sketchy. It is also hard to find foods that have bar codes.
This is a disappointing experience. The search is terrible and unintuitive. It does not reliably return results from what you've selected in the past. When you try to add a meal to save it for regular use, there's no barcode scanning feature and even if you type the name of the item exactly, sometimes known items just don't come up in the search. I cannot believe that a global organization this prevalent in the diet space can't do better with their app. Beware if you are thinking about WW.
This is much better than it was 4 years ago. My only complaint is that tracking weight can be tedious with the scroll wheel. You have to hit it just right in order for it to scroll, or you may accidentally close it and start over. I also don't like that it starts me off at 200 every single time I go to weigh in. I wish it would just start at my previous weight so I didn't have to scroll a bunch. A typed option would be nice too.
I love weight Watchers and I love some of the new features such as being able to import recipes from the internet. That said, there are also some frustrating parts. For example, I've come back to weight Watchers after quite a while away. It won't let me update my starting weight; so, I'm unable to accurately see my total weight loss without manually calculating it. Also, while the recipe import feature is great, I found that it can be somewhat inaccurate and imports ingredients not instructions.
I wish there was still a web-based option for entering data. The app is glitchy. For example, when I add an item to track it, it doesn't show up and count the points. I have to refresh the screen or close the app and reopen it. Entering recipes and foods is more challenging. The bar code scanner is finicky, it's hard to scan and choose at the same time without the app losing the item. Also, I try to search for a food by the exact name the app used on an earlier day, and it doesn't come up.
