Been using Well-AI Router for a couple months now. It’s basically a GPS navigation app focused on the oil and gas industry. Pretty solid if you’re working in this space or just interested in that kind of stuff.

Here’s what you can do: you can search for wells, permits, rigs, and other oil/gas locations and get voice-guided directions to them. There’s also the ability to share directions with other users, which is pretty cool. And it gets updated daily with new permits and rig movements – there’s thousands of new locations added each week.

Look, if you work in the oil and gas industry, you’ll probably find this really useful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job of getting you to those well sites and rigs. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.

So here's my take on Well-AI Router. I've tried a few different navigation apps for the oil/gas industry and this one's pretty solid overall. The daily updates and ability to get voice-guided directions all the way to the well pad is really handy. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other apps, but it covers the basics really well. Might be a bit overkill if you're not in this industry, but if you need to find and navigate to well sites, rigs, etc. regularly, this is worth a look.

  • Navigates you all the way to the well pad, not just the general area
  • Frequently updated with new permits, wells, and rig locations
  • Lets you easily share directions with co-workers or other users
  • Covers a ton of oil/gas infrastructure beyond just wells (SWD, rigs, etc.)

Cons

  • User interface can be a little clunky and not the most intuitive
  • May be overkill if you don't work in the oil/gas industry regularly
  • Doesn't have some advanced features like offline maps or trip planning
