stuck in a never-ending loop. if you add a reward but don't want it anymore you can't get rid of it completely. I hit delete in the cart but it's still somehow there and now if I want to make a new order it will always add that. then i delete my cart and start a new order. then I click on order and the reward is back. it's a never ending cycle. plus your app doesn't list every item. the stores Says the company controls the app, the company's says the stores control the items. so another loop.
Reviews for Wendy’s
← Back to Wendy’sThe app is pretty easy to use, but the full menu isn't available and "offers" keep disappearing every day, until the only offers left are the ones that almost nobody wants. These folks like to dangle rewards and offers and discounts in front of your nose, but they sure don't like it when you use them.
4/5 only because the app semi regularly (feels like once every 6 weeks or so) has technical problems. The presentation is good, and most importantly the rewards and offers are legitimately incentivizing. I choose to get Wendy's more often than any other fast food because it is higher quality and the value for your money cannot go further. My kids actually enjoy Wendy's, but will usually not finish the slop from McDonald's.
placed order for chicken tenders, charged my credit card. pressed the "Make My food". it replied oops try again later. The button disappeared. when I went into the restaurant they had no record of the order. when I showed them my credit card company charged me, they offered me food after a 5 minute discussion. They had no tenders. It was the beginning of lunch. the app took an order for something they did not have.
While the app itself functions as expected, the fact that Wendy's doesn't alert you before points expires is why I give it 1 star. Both Dunkin and Starbucks lets you know in advance. Currently the app has been down for several days at my local restaurant and I'm not driving across town for Wendy's. The staff says it is on Wendy's to fix the issue.
I just want to let yall know that your app says we can order at 6. they just won't get the order till 6:30. this wasn't the case 2 weeks ago, and if yall are gonna change app hours from store hours, that's fine. but maybe make sure the apps times are properly set up to 6:30 so we aren't waiting in the parking lot for 30 minutes. UPDATE: after 6:30, my order never got to the system inside, but It was cause their store #was wrong on the app(address was right tho). got food after showing proof tho
Horrible with a lot of false advertising. I went to purchase a 4 for 4 deal that is available on the app and they told me they don't do that at this location. (Paid 5.21) When I went to redeem my welcome 10 piece nugget the manager refused to honor the app. I spoke to customer service and they told me my complaint is just used for training purposes and the best they could do was add a five dollar off my next order. Would never use again or recommend anyone to use. A lot of false advertising.
my only complaint is that when placing a mobile order for pickup, the associates only see the initials and not at least the 1st name. there's always the chance that 2 people with the same initials can place and show up for an order at the same time. yeah, maybe it's never happened, but I've never had a place NOT have the 1st name visible to the associates. thank you for your, hopeful, attention to my request.
I’ve been using the Wendy’s app since it launched. There were some rough patches early on, but it seemed like they finally hired someone who knew what they were doing. The app experience got significantly better in late 2023 — so much so that I was ordering from Wendy’s multiple times a week. The best part was the offers and rewards. There was always a good selection that usually convinced me to add an extra item or two to my order. But about 6 months ago, that all changed. The offers dropped
The app works well, but there are no options to substitute grilled vs. classic (fried) chicken on salads like they do in store. If there was, I would eat here more often. Overall, the discounts and offerings are good. I wish there was a way to add free frosty keychain and other offers. There can be other improvements to make this really great, so there is still work they can do. Of so, it would also make the storefront more efficient so they don't have enough to take as many manual orders.
This App is terrible... I've tried to use it on and off, for a few months now. When trying to get my "free" six piece nuggets, it keeps telling me to "Oops, you forgot something, please add...". Initially my order was a Double Combo and then after the error, I added a chicken sandwich but, still the error. I've tried multiple combinations and a la carte attempts to no avail. Unless issues with the App are fixed, I'll keep staying away from Wendy's altogether.
I added a gift card to my Digital Account Balance, but the app didn’t apply it to my order. There was no option to use the balance during checkout, and no clear indication of how to apply it. On top of that, the live chat support doesn’t work. This defeats the purpose of both gift cards and the convenience a mobile app is supposed to offer. Update: The Digital Account Balance was less than the total balance of the order.
07/20/2025: I tried to redeem a coupon that I can only use on this particular day and no matter what I did, following the guidelines to validate this coupon, the app made it unsuccessful to complete my purchase. Now my coupon is gone because the expiration date has passed and it makes me feel like it was a bait & switch tactic. Things like this makes a customer just change their mind about eating from a place where they feel cheated. I'll probably just order from Burger King. Less complications.
Wendy's may be kinda mid, but they're much more consistent than anywhere else. I never have problems with mobile orders going through or the app freezing. Other fast food apps constantly have freezing issues or lose connection. Never have those issues with the Wendy's app. Any time there's a bug introduced, they fix it quickly too. They also consistently have the best rewards and coupons in the market. Genuinely worth being a repeat customer. Good app.
STOP LOCKING THE MENU TO SPECIFIC TIMES FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. Now that that's out of the way, why doesn't it work unless it's on data, why can't it load without a perfect connection? You're almost as bad as Domino's app, which is SAYING SOMETHING. Even when the app does work, it takes like 10 minutes just to load and then another 5 to order even when you already know what you're getting. most of the time, it takes so long. I just say f it and get mcdonalds
Love the app. It's like the only place you can use rewards and coupons together. However, you can't edit the breakfast burrito. It's literally the only item you can't remove or add/ reduce items that come on it. Also, when I'm on the road, placing a mobile order, I get that it defaults to the closest Wendy's but why doesn't it change the Wendy's location as I travel closer? I accidentally ordered from the wrong Wendy's and had to back track to the Wendy's further away. I was already at mine.
The app often times takes too long to load. When it does load, sometimes there are issues placing an order. I got a notification for a free 10 piece nugget with any purchase that was set to expire today. I went to use the offer today, and I couldn't even get to the order section. The app kept saying something was wrong, so I logged out and logged back in. The offer disappeared and was replaced with a BOGO free 10 piece nugget offer, so I would've had to pay more than I originally intended.
Honestly, for the amount of offers that they give and deals that they give and what you're paying for for relatively decent fast food. It's fantastic and the app makes it so much more convenient to order ahead of time. The only thing I wish is that phone provider services offered more range of coverage on internet so that all Wendy's locations can be looked up via the app in certain places.
forces multiple ads at multiple points in the order process, for things I have no desire to purchase. if it were a good app like chick fil a they would easily dismiss with a large obvious button, however they make the dismissal text tiny, almost the same color as the background so it looks like you must purchase something else, 25 dollars isn't enough. also tries to force you to turn on wifi scanning, not just location information that it has full access to. just no
wow, this app is giving me an anxiety attack. there are too many bugs causing it to run slow and not get my orders. i can't order anything because it keeps circling back to the beginning after I finished picking all my food. wow, what the hell is wrong with this app? I just uninstalled it and installed it all over again and it's still taking a long time to open.
