Update: 9-12-18 This app is a very quick and easy way to send money. I appreciate the ease and speed. No issues with early logout once the receiver is set-up. .......... The refresh rate to log-out is too short. They ask for phone number and email address. In the few short minutes it took for each of them I was logged out. I had to start all over. Other than that -- it's a great little appt. First time user.

App wouldn't let me send money with either of my cards, and kept declining transfers. I checked my info multiple times and everything was correct. Claimed to send money "in minutes" but when I contacted customer service they told me it could take hours. After multiple attempts to send money through this app, I am going to have to find another way to get the money where it needs to go. This urgent matter could have been dealt with more quickly by other means.

It's really hard to redeem points on this app. It's several years later and the problem still isn't fixed. I'll just keep racking up points then cash them in. You probably won't let that happen either 😩 You can't use points on this app period! It's always telling me that I have to use points that have already been paid for. Fix your app. Earned points that can't be used. Just to save a dollar. 👎

You ask me to rate your app 3 seconds after the transaction, I don't rate anything until the transaction is completed, so for your arrogant persistent pestering, I will rate you a 1, I would rate you zero if the option was available, not to mention your outrageous fees on my end and another 18% on the receivers end! Highway robbery is what that's called!!!!

This app doesn't work. I've tried all day to send money, and the app keeps repeating error codes. I called my bank bc I thought it was probably fraud protection. Next, I called Western Union's customer service line. They outsource their call center employees, which is unsettling when dealing with personal banking info. Even after multiple phone calls and multiple issues "resolved" the app still never worked.

Check out payoneer!!! Western union is a total scam APP. They don't allow you to repeatedly send money to foreign friends without going physically into a store, waiting in line and showing ID. Oh, and customer service makes excuses about why they can't help you and how your account can't be fixed so you can send online again. Transfer money faster like their ads say, be sure you don't bother with this app, or this company! Payoneer ALL the way!

Un-installing the app as it has no more use for me. Several transfer requests were declined without explanation. I tried five times. Every time I had to wait for hours just to get a declined notice. I checked the info several times for correctness. Customer service was totally useless. They even got nasty at times which I do not appreciate. Finally had it. Found a different service, less expensive, much better conversion rates, and easy to use.

It does what it needs to do. I'm finally rating it so it'll stop popping up. There are annoying ads at the end of every transaction thus the low rating, plus the CONSTANT prompt to rate the app. It could be easier to use. I should be able to easily select a past contact but I can't. And it is truly unhelpful there. Please fix this so you don't have to totally reenter someone's information you've sent to before, if you're sending a different amount.

if I could give negative stars, I would. I'm not so disappointed with the app as I am with customer service. I'm having a issue with the transfer and was just told that it may take 20 to 40 days to get it resolved. I'm very disappointed with Western Union. I'm going to try a different service to send my money. if I were you, I'd find alternatives.

The app works BETTER and faster than the website! The biggest complaints I have is that it is very very annoying that unless you pay close attention, you will have your credit card information SAVED automatically! Then in much smaller print it says not now!!! This is sneaky and poor practice! I suggest you simply put a check box where you can choose to save or NOT SAVE your information! Second, the app won't store your password. I have to create a new one every sign in!!!please FIX!!!

funds where taken in minutes from bank account, but most of the time takes up to 3 hours for pick up... now I have problems with filling the info, name, middle, last names get mixed up on delivery and can't pick up until I call to fix... annoying, 4 times already... February 2025 back in the App and sent money since I don't wanna go out to a store and waste time and gas... today July 10 the App doesn't 🤦‍♂️ Walgreens where I send always, type and send... easy

Reasonable $1.99 fee to send small amounts of cash to Colombia, and a better exchange rate than many (but not all) competitors. Unfortunately, transfers take a highly variable amount of time to be delivered, and you're not told how long it's going to take until you commit to sending money. App says 0 to 4 days for bank account to bank account transfers, but I've been told up to 7 calendar days for a transfer. The high variability makes it hard to judge when you should send a transfer.

!!!! It's supposed to be cheaper when you use the App , so why it's more expensive than the office .. Plus it's treat you as a suspect anyway , a lot of technical problems with the app forcing you to start over and over again ,,, Customer service wow is the worst Customer service ever 👎👎👎 Recently ,,, I transferred from my bank account to other bank account ,, it has three weeks now & no one knows where is the money? As the receiver didn't get any money Looks like I lost my money 👎👎👎......

very slow. put numbers that I haven't touched on my phone such as: choose the amount of money for me!! can't never send money fast, but just have to deal with circle that is circulating for minuts before I can get to the required steps of sending money abroad!! totally enjoying. I really don't like it but don't have much choices to send money to Europe.

in Peru there are problems getting money. some locations it works, other locations it does not. It's not dependable, at least in my location. Always make sure you have a reserve of dollars just in case system is down. in past 6 months fees went from 2.99 to 4.99 and today 7.99 for $100. that's highway robbery. 8 percent is outrageous. I've had enough of this ripoff company.

horrible! we put our information correctly, but somehow the names got switched around when I receiver tried to pick up. we tried to correct the names three times in the app. but it kept getting switched back incorrectly. they refunded our money without our permission, and now they're holding it for 7 days. this app is a mess, try some other company. thanks for keeping our money Western Union so you can make interest on it. great way to get new customers

i have used this app for years and usually it is great but the last few months I have not been able to use it because it says I need to enter the account number or clabe but it is already entered and it won't let me fix it. it is like it won't refresh the info... it doesn't make sense. so I've had to use zoom for a few months now. Hopefully you can fix this in your next update.

I expected a fair rate. the first time they give you the best exchange rate. they usually market this exchange rate in ads but when it comes to second or third transactions you realize that's not the case they give you a very bad exchange rate that might seem small but for large transactions it will cost you 30-50$ extra per transaction also there's 1-2$ extra fee.. if it was a few extra dollars I would have been okay but no. Classic dark psychology pattern I would suggest looking elsewhere👍

Really hard experience to go through. Very frustrating, every time I left the screen, like to check a verification number sent to text, the app would take me back to the log-in screen and take forever to get me back to where I was. And sometimes not even there but take me to what I've already done. Never been so infuriating with an app. 1 stars, cause it got the money to where it needed to be, FINALLY!

I got this app to send money quickly without having to wait in lines at the store. Unfortunately it only worked a few times. After that it would say the money would be there in minutes but once I paid it would change to say it would take 3 days. After the 3 days it would either cancel or refund the money. Which is good because I wouldn't lose the money but it also never made it to my family members. I reached out to them asking why this kept happening but all they did was track my order.
