To work you just RESTART PC having switched REMOTE ON on PC then add this. It doesn't store EMAIL & LOGIN PW which I think should by now use MS 4 Digit Pass Code to store. Be better with 2 finger stretch view for more accuracy in ZOOM but it can be setup eventually as is best. Wish that it was SHARING but any use of PC disconnects it instead.
it works.... but.. if your phone on portrait mode then the resolution of your pc is also stuck on a vertical resolution and it's very narrow you can barely navigate. till this is rectified then I could bump up the ratings but other than that, I have to temporarily force my phone onto landscape mode manually, and even then the resolution is super cramped still but good enough to shut down my pc as on vertical mode you can't even push start > shut down pc
The app connects fine but has serious input issues. Using a physical keyboard triggers a constant “cross move” icon in the middle of the screen due to conflicts with the virtual keyboard. The mouse scroll wheel click doesn’t work either, and some apps don’t respond properly with keyboard input. Not reliable enough for professional use until these bugs are fixed.
Works pretty well, though onboarding could be improved. Started by typing in my Microsoft account, then it turns out only work or school accounts are supported. At home, setting up the connection for a PC is entirely manual. The remote view fills the screen without any padding, which means the corners are cropped out on screens with rounded corners. There should be a setting for inserting some padding to ensure the image isn't cropped too much.
Really when you can catch it in good working order. I think it to be one of the easier remote desktop programs to navigate with. Wouldn't use it to game though. Even when it to decides to run well. which seems to be probably the first, and maybe second time. Then you can't get it to connect, or find your computer again, and when it decides it wants to start committing it's f★©k£₹¥™ . You'll best help yourself by immediately give up. Would be nice if fixed though. Can easily mobile navigate PC.
The only one issue I have is the size of the screen. It's so small, would be way easier if it matches a similar resolution to your phone. Another problem with the zoom move to drag button in the center is that it sometimes crashes the app. There is also another issue, and this app seems to effect the remote desktop app on the PC as well as often I have to connect and disconnect on the app if I want to connect on the PC.
Not a bad app and it works if you got everything configured correctly.. let's face it if you have to use your phone to access your remote PC, you're probably in a bind.. and so, despite the clunky interface and the effort you have to put into getting to things on your remote desktop, if you have patience and a good connection, it works.. that being said, it's difficult and takes a lot of patience to actually Master it to get what you need done.. much better to use another PC lol
Poor implementation. If you disconnect from the terminal server side (e.g. log off), this app hangs on a blank screen. Randomly, it'll also not reconnect and hang on "Configuring remote PC". When this happens, you need to clear cache and stored data to wipe the saved profile, re-add the server IP and settings and then it'll work again. Terrible!!!!!
My experience with this app is not really nice, I'll give you a few reasons: 1. Connection drops 2. Connection issues when you try to connect 3. App keeps running in the background even when I killed the app in app switcher. The problem is that whenever I used this app on my old iPhone it used to work just fine, perfect I must add. I didn't have issues on the iOS platform but since I've switched to Android this app has just been a nightmare.
I'm not a big fan of the Display Sizes. They're really awkward sizes that can't be customized. I'd prefer being able to set the resolution or even just use the remote PC's set resolution and just scroll with the mouse arrow. Feature suggestion: The capability to change screens/monitors rather than moving everything that's open to the main one.
