Looks like they got the Android version working pretty good. Far cry from the last edition

Great addition to the cockpit for backup navigation and information support.

Love this. Great alternative to Foreflight and can be used on both iOS AND android.

I am a CFII. This app just works. All the stuff i need without bloatware functions. I especially like the format for displaying NOTAMS

love this app. can't get lost with this. Very happy with moving map and weather overlay. Shows speed, time, distance, ETA , can optimize your best altitude, split screen and more.

I mainly use wingx on my iPad pro, but have it on my android as a backup. Certainly not as user friendly on an android, but does the job in a pinch. Good secondary source for IFR flights. Needs a direct-to function.

Feels very outdated to use. For me the biggest downside is that you cannot display radar on the moving map, this should really be a basic thing. Apple version has it

crashes OFTEN. on the past several database updates the moving map doesnt show the VFR sectional. each time i had to completely delete all the databases and then re-download. i know Hilton Software does military contract work, hope its more reliable than what they offer the private sector...

Very poor functionality on Android devices. Does not reliably show route or distance to destination. It's a shame this only works well on Apple devices. It does, however, work very well on Apple devices..

I'm a user of the Android and Apple apps. The Apple is far superior, but the Android us still very useful. Realistically, I'm giving it 3 for current utility, 1 for potential. If the Android version gets to the same features as the Apple, I'm giving it a 5.

I was recommended this app as a substitute for Foreflight for I am an android user. It's not very user friendly. The tutorial videos I've found online arent matching up with what I have on my screen also I cant seem to add waypoints of an instrument approach to my route. Also why dont I see radar?

Fails in UI and features compared to other EFB's. Having tried several others, I ultimately landed on iFly GPS as my daily driver and Droid EFB as a very close second. If WingX on Android actually delivered the features it boasts about, it WOULD be a competitive contender I suspect.

This company does not care about android support. iOS version is leaps and bounds better. Android version offers no synthetic vision and is limited. Hilton Software has stated android updates would be coming later in the month, that was 8 months. Find a diffrent product, or buy an iPad.

Right now I'm very disappointed, on my Droid turbo 2 it will not allow you to navigate direct to anything! just returned from Sun n fun, it does work better on my iPad but the Android version sucks, for that i give it a one star. had to go back to my free app.

I love WingX, but why won't the Android version sync with my already purchased account on Apple?

I have been using WingX for many years. I have found it be easy to update and use. The features it has are useful and relevant to my flights. I am a CFI-II and recommend this program to my students as it simply gets the job done. I have learned to really appreciate the approach overlay on the enroute chart. Fuel prices are helpful and the ability to easily switch information displayed is easy and useful. So many other EFB are full of functions but what use in real time are they.

Do not purchase this software. The company has little to no customer support. In addition, its staff is either not able or not willing to assist people who have spent money on its product - they do not return emails and they take little to no interest in their issues. Due to a problem with WingX software, they took 4 years of subscription fees (over $300) and refuse to return the money in excess of the one year subscription. In addition the company did not even give me a subscription.

App crashes on reload after backgrounding. Other than that it does as prescribed the utilities are good and the moving map is clear and easy to use. The only recomendation would be to increase the hitbox for the airport context menu on the map. Its sometimes difficult to hit in bumpy weather.

App works okay but a direct to function would be nice. I have the app on my iPhone as well and it works good there as well. Please add a 99cent option like there is on the iOS app because I am a student and can't afford 75 bucks per year. Otherwise I would just use Foreflight. Also please add a memory because every time I open the app it resets to KOSH airport instead of previously used / searched for airport. Thanks!

direct to - Not supported!!!! present position to - not supported!!! skip waypoint in your current flight plan - not supported; restrict displayed traffic to +/- specified altitude range - not supported; your plane symbol is huge - unable to adjust; distance rings around "ownship" - not available; internal GPS acquisition - iffy at best The charts look nice but it really provides nothing more than an electronic copy of the paper charts without much additional advantage over paper. The NEXRAD images are drawn nicely and you can pull up METARs and TAFs. The software if far from really usable on the Android platform, and it's a shame, it has a lot of potential. There are a lot of other Android aviation apps that are a lot more featured for less. Save you $$ and look elsewhere.
