Reviews for WiZ Connected

Worked well for a few months then all the lights one by one started blinking off then back on every second or two. I spent about 30 minutes and finally got one to pair to the app on my new phone All my bulbs are like this. Idk if this is their attempt to force me to buy new bulbs but this just makes me not want to buy this brand ever again. I don't understand why you would design it to blink when disconnected from network instead of just steady.

lights used to work, never had issue, suddenly my internet can connect to everything the way it used except the lights can't connect. My $2000 gaming PC connects and plays everything just fine. This app? KNOWS there's and issue, has a button that offers help, click the button: "Help Center being added in next update?" no suggestions on how to fix this.

Don't waste your money on this junk. Spend a little more and buy GE, Philips, Linkind, or even Google, literally any other brand. From day one, these builbs have had connection issues, sometimes working, sometimes not, and if you move them to another room, forget it... good luck getting it to reconnect. Waste of money.

New Review! Upon redoing all of my connected lights, and after, seemingly, a couple of updates, this app actually works pretty solid now! I was able to link it back up to my Google home setup with little issues, just had to remove the old setup and add a new one. My only request for a feature that would make this app AWESOME is if it could detect when your phone connects to the WiFi network and automatically turn the lights on for you when you get home, otherwise, good job guys! I'm happy 😁

dark mode isn't dark it's bright blue. Navigation, such as opening the app, splashes a bright white page before loading the chosen theme. Overall, the app does control and automate the lighting well and easily. However, it's lack of dark theme and overall neglect for digital wellness is horrid. If I choose to go to bed early I have to suffer a bright white flash on my screen, to then render vivid blue light, so I can toggle the lights off. Worse, if I miss the toggle it flashes more blue light.

+ UI is nice, the blue pops + Basic tasks easy to perform + Multiple ways to connect your Philip wiz bulbs - UI a bit cluttered on the - Not intuitive enough The app's presentation is nice, but it's cluttered with too much on screen. Basic tasks are easy to perform (turning lights on or off, changing colors, and the preset options are nice. Grouping all bulbs in all rooms in a schedule doesn't appear to be possible. Please allow the app to be more intuitive, so users could have more control.

It's either great or the big light is on at bed time. I've had these lights for 9 months. Pros - syncs with Google assistant, can create automations and prompts for my auADHD kid, turn on lights weekday mornings, great mood setter (relax, bedtime, cleaning) Cons - it's starting to be unreliable, can't turn the lights off/on or control colors/brightness through either the app or Google assistant, forced to deal with whatever light comes on when the switch is used, which really sucks

Following the boilerplate instructions from the "developer" results in "We are currently experiencing unprecedented high volume due to which our response might be delayed." Then nothing for hours. WORTHLESS. Today the app will control NONE of my lights 33 bulbs. C'mon Philips, when I think you can't get any worse, you manage to. Another update from Philips, another failure. Downgrading to 1 star

terrible app and products, always says my lights are disconnected and not able to be controlled (none of my other smart devices have this issue so I know it's not the wifi), new bulbs won't even connect to the app, the list goes on I will never buy another product from this company and I recommend that you stay away as well if you're considering purchasing from this company. on top of that the app is cumbersome and not well designed

UPDATE: NOW the only two lights that I have are constantly turning themselves on! They are outdoor flood lights, so I never know they are on until it gets dark out, or for how long they have been on!!! I turn them off, and 10 seconds later they turn themselves back on! Now I cannot get them to stay off! I definitely do not recommend these lights! I only have 2 of these lights, and one or the other will either not turn on or not turn off. HORRIBLE product.

it's almost 2026 and you are telling me I can't make my own dynamic profiles? I noticed in a certain situation, you make the app purposely not work when there is no connection to your cloud? cause I can open up the app for a split second and control the lights, but the moment it can't get to your servers it stops working🧐 also I have had the worst time trying to get these bulbs to work with Google home, I bought like 2 packs of I think 4? yeah it refuses- delays, has trouble connecting- ect..

I've had the Wiz light bulbs for almost two years now and my honest option is: they are not reliable at all. The bulbs often unlink with app even though they paired up perfectly the first go around. Then gives you the dreaded "unable to control This device is currently offline. Check its settings for more details." but when you go to settings nothing comes up on why it's offline. Ugh ... my advice if you want smart bulbs for your house don't cheap out, just get the better more expensive brand.

it was easier to navigate the old app. Also wouldve been nice to know that they replaced the old app. Maybe some kind of message pop up? You know, on the OLD APP? To let you know? I also cant have multiple light modes on one light bulb, unlike in the old app. So now i need to open this stupid thing everytime instead of just pulling the light chain twice to change it. Fantastic, thank you. A truly wonderful replacement.

Not as intuitive or user friendly as the old app. Can't find how to control my Wiz Remotes in the app. I did migrate from the old app so maybe I have to set them up again. Information is spread over several screens instead of one page. Another app worse than its predecessor. It has a page dedicated to additional products you can buy. Yay

Used to be decent, not anymore. Started getting "unknown error" when trying to add a new smart bulb. Re-installed, able to add the bulb, but will not integrate with Alexa, another error message appears. Re-installed, now it won't connect to my Google account. Another unknown error. Re-installed 5 more times with phone reset. FAIL. I tried locating the LIVE CHAT, must be hidden well or still referencing an old version of the app. FAIL.

lights randomly change to a different mode after light has been turned on less than 1 minute. one light bulb out of four just quit working for no reason. I've hardly used due to all the problems. I keep getting msg: "UNKNOWN ISSUE OCCURRED something went wrong try again". it won't let me log in like I used to it wants me to use Google or Facebook.. not how I want to login! why isn't this working the way it used to when I first got it?! recently updated app in July.. WTH!

Lots to love, but also missing some basics. Doesn't allow you to create your own dynamic color shifts or modify the presets; also, the automation won't simply turn on/off my exterior lights grouping --- it forces you to reprogram the light color/brightness as part of an automation (the work around in my case is to create a different automation for each light, but why make this more difficult). Bottom line, feel like the app could allow for more customization....the very purpose of this product

Ongoing intermittent connection issues. Which is a newer problem over the last month or so. Prior to that, it was reliable and easy to use with rare connection issues. Now, I have connection issues with the one light I use the app for at least a couple times a week, the issues usualy resolve overnight, but it defeats the purpose of a wifi light in a bedroom if you still have to manually turn it on and off.

I've had two of these bulbs. they are hard to connect to the phone and worked for a while but I had one stop connecting to the app after a year and the second one has just now after a year and a half stop connecting. I tried reconnecting them doesn't work. At the price they are, they should have lasted for years. The bulb still work They just don't connect to the stupid app. I'm going to have to find a different brand. this o

Terrible app. Messy, sometimes redundant controls in different locations and methods. Unreliable light control. Barely a step up over those no-name Chinese product apps. Can't set colors and have them slowly change on a schedule. 'Automations' only allow 5 abrupt color and brightness changes. And mine randomly stopped working one day. Motion sensor can't control specific lights, only an entire single room. And can't activate a scene.
